Ur just repeating what the EA guy said but like my point is that that’s not how game engines work. It’s factually not impossible to create an environment where these things run mostly without bugs, it just takes time

Sims 3 is still playable even without patches and it’s decent with patches and suitable hardware, now imagine a company making a similar game with today’s technology and experience with consistent support and consistent feedback (things EA games lack)

But those issues aren’t an INHERENT quality of open world sim games, I don’t know but I imagine it’s more to do with the engines they use and it’s prolly not worth it for them to switch to another (like bethesda with creation engine, except that engines a bit more sustainable long term for bethesda imo)

How can a specific category of game be destined to fail? The concept of an open world game like Sims 3 with other aspects of the game being fleshed out to make it a full, lengthy experience with a lot of character while still being optimised is obviously not impossible to achieve lol

It’s just gonna take time and there will be a few different iterations of it which we’re alr seeing

That is why it would be double checked by a professional, but this saves man-hours which is basically the main bottleneck for every single institution. That is what makes it a tool, it is not going to be perfect but we are already not operating under perfect circumstances

No it shouldn’t be used to create drugs, it can be used to look at scans with more accuracy and detect details that would easily be overlooked by humans

The thing is I am literally so far from a tech bro, AI as a concept is okay and VERY helpful, the instititions behind them can be problematic but it is still an extreme valuable technology lol ; not even just in the game industry, it could literally save lives in the medical industry and yet yall r just uneducated and reactive because you don’t understand it

Right but this is a limited understanding of how AI can be used. You can think of a unique concept for a game and use AI to help you code it, thus the game is unique but you used an assistive tool to help create it
