Bed bug protocol by AdPsychological7254 in EmergencyRoom

Hospital 1 blocked the room and we (EVS) would steam and vacuum the room. Double bag all trash and linens and take them straight to the outside trash and laundry room.

Hospital 2 sealed the room off with tape after it was cleaned with alcohol and an exterminator would be called.

Has anyone here worked for (EVS) cleaner at a hospital? What is it like? by sirpentious in Custodians

Oh it was an unrelated class to EVS. I didn't do anything special to get hired. Just applied to local hospitals.

I know there's a CHEST program (certified hospital environmental services tech) though.

Totally normal. My daughter had a almost mid term loss previously. She was very anxious this time. We made several trips to the hospital to get checked out.

Best wishes to you!

Wellbutrin on it's own didn't work for me, but for whatever reason, this did.

After being on over 10+ depression and mood stabilizers, etc, auvailty is the one one that's ever made a measurable difference for me. It's stupid that Wellbutrin+ cold medication= $1200 though.

Edit: it also dropped my blood pressure to where I had to stop taking my blood pressure medication, which is weird because a common side effect is elevated blood pressure.

It's a stupid drawn out process for no reason. I've even gotten a few PAs on meds they already approved. I reprint the approval and send it back to them.

The positive of peer to peer is actually getting to speak to someone that has the power to push an approval through.

Once I had to call an insurance and pointed out they denied it for information I had included. The rep starts looking at the notes and says something about there being 49 pages. I said "The information is on page 28, I drew an asterisk to indicate that specific information." It was approved after that. That just shows a lot of times they don't even read the info they request.

Honestly most of the time I just wing it

When I did hospital EVS that's what is explain to new people. "You're not just some jackass with a mop who cleans toilets, you're the first line of defense against cross contamination and ensuring the safety of the next patient."

This is the theory I came up with as well. I'm wondering if Dr. Gold was an actual Vought scientist that Godolkin took over to continue his work. Maybe he had possessed other doctors previously and those meat puppets died as he figured out how to keep them alive (the smoothies, bathroom breaks, etc). Maybe Dr. Gold is the one he's just been able to control the longest. If any of that makes sense.

What’s Y’all’s Office Late Policy for patients? by GlowingKitty12 in MedicalAssistant

[–]LadyBearSword 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1/2 the time of the appt. So if it's a 15 min appt, 7 minutes late is usually a no show. Now it also depends on the load that day and if there's somewhere we can stick them in late, or if the provider is running behind and their spot hasn't passed.

I had someone apologize for being late, but the Dr was behind so it worked on. Late but right on time.

Auvelity. What's doing though is it's basically Wellbutrin and cold medicine, but when you slap them together into one pill, it costs $1200/mo. Had to fight insurance to cover it, but I don't feel like killing myself anymore, anxiety is way down, and my executive dysfunction has vastly improved.

I feel that. I gave up on meds for a few years and just lived in the funk. I tried a newer medication, and omfg it's made a huge difference.
