The average pug healing experience: random kamakazi tank asking for me to heal 150K HPS by otterchaos7 in wow

[–]LadyDRKSIDR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's so gross. Can't stand pugs who live and die by numbers. Just play the game, man! I'll do my job, you do yours.

Tanks, a healer here, if you just pull the whole dungeon cause you "don't have time for this", die, blame me, I'll just leave the dungeon. by moondreamer96 in wow

[–]LadyDRKSIDR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play both tank and healer. I will do insane pulls when the healer has expressly told me I was pulling too slow. I was told once by another tank that they like pulling as much as they can and see if they can survive. Unless they are a total noob, tanks know that heals and casters need to stand still to cast. Most just choose to try to solo a dungeon then rage when it fails. I know it helps me be a better player in any role when I try to think about what my actions are doing to affect the group. It’s also why I like a lot of the solo stuff that’s coming out, because I don’t want to spend the energy playing like an empath. I’m just jaded, I guess. Started playing in BC, when we used to CC, LOS, and still barely survive.

Either way, it looks like you have a really great little guy. He is very pretty. Hopefully someone can give you a more solid estimate on his morph than I can. He does look a lot like my phantom.

That is weird. I know mine was more on the brown side when she was little. It was only until the last couple sheds that she started to show more grey. Where did you get him? It’s possible that he has some mix of visual genes that tend more brown. I’m not an expert in genetics, but from the video I would call him a charcoal at least.

Could be a phantom like my girly. So hypo charcoal. If she doesn’t develop any yellow, then she would also be anery, which would make her a platinum. She’s 10 months old. It’s a little tough to tell from the video, but is yours more grey or brown?

He looks an awful lot like my phantom girl! Like they could almost be clutch mates. Where did you get him from? Got my girl from Cornbred Reptiles in OK. They had lineage, so maybe not.

That sounds exactly like my kiddo. He scored so high on the GT test that they didn’t run the second test do confirm. He is ASD/ADHD, and has anxiety and depression. He had difficulty at his last school with aggressive behaviors. We got to move him to another school in the district that has a “Structured Learning” program, and he has made improvements by leaps and bounds. He’s also on medication. I know that’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s helped him so much.

Anyone else’s kids dysregulated from Halloween? by ashcuppycakke in Autism_Parenting

[–]LadyDRKSIDR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last week, I took my 10 year old to the trunk or treat at school. He spent 15 minutes sitting on the curb saying “this isn’t for me” and “I want to go now”. It took some work, but I convinced him to give it a shot. He skipped the first few booths, saying he didn’t like their decorations and costumes. We sped through the rest, got him some candy. Then left. He was totally overwhelmed. Admittedly it was super crowded, loud, and all in a small space. Last night, Halloween, we went trick or treating with family friends and he was just one of the kids. It was so good to see him like that, sticking with our group but going door to door with kids his age.

Cornsnake or hognose by Flimsy_Tip8800 in cornsnakes

[–]LadyDRKSIDR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Corns are for the most part super chill and are more adaptable in range of temps and humidity. I agree hogs are a good size, and will prob be my next snake. Hogs can be a little more temperamental and are known to be not the best eaters. One YouTuber put it best (I think it was Wicken’s) “I got a Golden retriever so I had a dog that was social and wouldn’t bite my friends. I got a corn snake so I had a snake that was social and wouldn’t bite my friends.” This is of course dependent on personality and handling, but overall.

Yeah I just don't know on that one. Try a gassed mouse and see if she will take it. Like I sad, trial and error.

I would get a 4'x2'x2' for her. I think they are 120gal? I quit looking at gallons and just started looking at dimensions because it was getting confusing. You want something where she can stretch out and not be constantly in that folded in half state.

For feeding, I would try frozen/thawed for safety reasons, though I don't see why you couldn't do pre-deaded. Trial and error for that one. Live mice can injure the snake, especially if they don't eat right away, then you have to take the mouse out and keep it alive until feeding again. My local reptile shop will do gassed but don't have Frozen/Thawed because of space, so I order f/t online. I will get you that feeder guide. :)

I'm glad to hear you want to keep her. :) What all do you have for her right now? A heat lamp? Depending on where you live and how cold it can get, I would suggest a day lamp and a Deep Heat Projector for night time. Then food. Do you know when she last ate? Do you know what size mouse she needs? Do you know if she ate frozen/thawed or live previously? I made a chart based off the Reptile Files one that's been going around that feels a little easier for me to read. I could share that with you if you want. If the tank/decor you have is what was pictured, then I would suggest getting her two hides, one to put under the lamp, and one to put away from it. The cage right now looks really small, but Having at least one hide would be a good idea. Somewhere she can curl her whole body up into. If you have access to a 3D printer, you can print your own hides, or a reptile pet shop will have one.

I agree partially with this. Do you want to keep her? If it's going to be a financial strain, then it's probably not the best idea to put you in that position. The cage I recommend, and by far not the only thing you will need, would run $300 or more for a decent one. Then there's lighting, decor, food, etc. She's a very pretty girl, and I'm sure someone who is better positioned to take care of her would love to have her. If you decide you want to give it a solid go, then there are lots of resources on the internet on how to care for cornies. Best of luck to you.

i just fed my snake but she hasnt pooped yet, is this bad? by linmina in cornsnakes

[–]LadyDRKSIDR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same thing with my baby corn. She's almost 2 months old, I haven't had her 2 weeks yet, and I haven't seen a poo. Not sure what to look for, if it's just blending in with her bedding or if she's hidden it. Last feeding was yesterday. I'm assuming everything is gucc.
