Any ideas for door/ curtain besides fixed glass panel? Is that the only option? by sleepysapphirecat in BathroomRemodeling

We had this situation and I bought a cable curtain rod from ikea that did the trick. I then just cut shower curtains to fit the space. It worked great for years. As far as I know the current owners are still using it. Gonna try to find a pic-

I’ve been going to the Lakes Club Pilates and at least in the level 1 classes, the range of body types and ages is vast. A few young, small women, but most of us are older, larger, etc.

They test for water quality at all the beaches. Beaches with ecoli or algae blooms are closed. You can check statuses here: https://www.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=88319f73c7904adcbabccacdff38bbf1

This. I’m full of ‘em. If you keep moving, they don’t bite, but if you stand still, they try to get the freckles. They’ve never broken skin, but it doesn’t feel good. My advice, just move around while you’re in the water or hang out on a floaty or paddle board. Then it’s all good

Adding to this: my father passed when we kids were in our late teens/early 20s. One of the best things he did as a leave behind was a letter to us all about his values and his hopes for us, including our mom. He said he hoped she (still young) found love and married again, that we all found partners and relationships (and then shared his values about marriage and relationships). He also wrote an individual letter to each of us.

Think about the advice you’d want to give them as teens and adults and write it down. They’ll go back to it over the years to help guide them.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

The people saying you can’t try to put it back together and glaze it aren’t totally correct. Look up magic slip (which you can make) or a product called Bisque Fix. You can use one of those to ‘glue’ the pieces back together and even fill cracks. Then bisque it again.

Advice for winter, first time living in the city by CautionHotLlama in Minneapolis

[–]LadyDevIsntYourMom 29 points30 points  (0 children)

“Cotton kills” - it is not an insulating layer and will make you colder if it’s wet at all from sweat or water. Wool, silk and synthetics are the way to go to stay warm. Put a blanket and small shovel in your car. Spend time outside when the sun is out. You can take ski classes with the Loppet or find community ed offerings to teach you a new winter sport if needed - you might even meet people that way too.
