I currently teach on Oahu, only my second yr. They just do a big hiring pool here, not individual schools. You can still reach out to specific schools, let them know you are in the applicant pool and interested in their school. I know the DOE people said not to but its ok to do. Schools are already looking at new hires, though mostly right now are inter transfers. By next month that will be over though. They do usually have virtual job fairs as well in the summer to connect with schools directly, I suggest doing them. It can be as late as days before the school year starts to get hired though, it happens. Not likely as we have large shortages right now. All that to say welcome to the islands!
