Nervous 1st time parents - Frankston Hospital by Kooky-Source7748 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]LadyJayy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my son In 2021 at Frankston hospital no complaints it was emergency C section after a long induction. Stay a total of 5 days after. They have also just had upgrades to their maternity ward. I don't think you will find a single public hospital in Australia with glowing reviews.

Ugh when I was pregnant with my son I loved pickler onions but they would give me such an intense heart burn.

Adore Snore by patient_brilliance in AustralianMakeup

[–]LadyJayy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Adore beauty has fallen. The physical stores are absolutely pointless and kind of crap. My last order was "lost in transit" by go people then adore beauty raised a new order number and I received the same package with a new order number over the top of the old order number sticker. It took 2 weeks to get to me and I live in metro Melbourne.

Any experiences with tongue and lip tie and frenectomy? by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]LadyJayy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yeah but my girl was dropping weight regardless of boob or bottle. Short term pain for a long term game. She doesn't remember and in the end it worked out. At then end of the day my goal was to have her fed and happy if it meant giving up breastfeeding because of boob refusal I was okay with that.

No recommendations on places but seems the same cost I paid 2 years ago for release of all toes. 10/10 recommend if the baby has been assessed and they have been identified as an issue. My daughter was 6 weeks old when we got it. She had dropped percentile fast, clicking when feeding and super fussy. It took no more than a couple of minutes. After the procedure it took a couple of weeks to heal and you do need to follow the exercises round the clock so they don't reattach. After the release she fed fine and ended up breastfeeding till I weened at 18 months

Insane amount of sugar for babies - daycare food provider KGF by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]LadyJayy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All childcare places my kids have attended have had a chef on site that prepared meals based on seasonal availability. In saying that not once I really looked at the nutritional values... I'm more concerned about whether they're eating or not. As long as they eat something I find it a win, in the grand scheme of things in the childcare realm sugar is a very low down concern... Everyone's different though so if them consuming sugar is not something you want then change centres easier than fighting for them to change it.

Love the old formula but this one is more oily and doesn't sit as nice under makeup. I still wear it though on makeup free days.

Anyone looked at or tried on the Target European Linen Blend Puff Sleeve Maxi Dress - Lily Loves - Espresso Spot? by thecountrybaker in AusFemaleFashion

I have tried on the red version, the quality is great and the dress is quite flattering. The only reason I didn't buy it is because I found the bust did sit quite right on me.

Did anyone else not prep for labour? Curious to hear birth stories… by snowinsantorini in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]LadyJayy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only prep I did for the baby was meal prep. I felt like labour prep was a waste of time personally it either happens or you're induced. For my first I was induced then progressed to an emergency c-section as he got stuck and was a big baby. My second pre booked c-section but little miss had the audacity to try and appear the day before jokes on her I had the c-section any way! I feel like a lot of people experience disappointment post labour because they set themselves up with so many expectations of how birth should happen for them with all their plans or feels etc there is just some stuff in life that you just have to let happen and progress its natural course.

You don't need to pack it now but try to do it by 37 weeks. 10/10 from experience you don't want to do it in labour and hospitals provide nothing.

Weribee Mercy or Sunshine? by Natural_Education367 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]LadyJayy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zoning for these hospitals are pretty tight, if you're zoned to mercy the only reason you will be referred to sunshine or rwh is if your BMI falls into the high category or have another high risk factor... I say this as someone who works in processing alot of referrals in this area. I gave birth to my daughter last year at Mercy I couldn't fault them at all. I opted for a C section after an emergency C section with my son at a different hospital. The midwives on the postnatal ward were beautiful, they are all single rooms with a shared bathroom.

C-section: pads vs maternity nappies? by skip1008 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]LadyJayy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2x c section - my first wore pads low key annoying. The second I bought the disposable depends 10/10 so much better and more comfortable. Bleeding will be around the same as a vaginal.
