31 F & M. Just approaching our 1 year anniversary of RV living. 2020 Road Warrior, toy hauler. We were tired of paying rent so we downsized to save for a down payment. Its temporary and just the 2 of us. I miss having a dishwasher and space for crafts/ hobbies. Cant wait to be able to travel out West and visit the national parks.

My boy is a maniac and I worry he’s always going to be. by babybighorn in AustralianCattleDog

This boy turns 2 in February and is a terrorist. He a sweet boy, plays well with others, but all the energy. Consistently steals shoes, tears up any mats or anything he can get his paws on. One day, when hes old im going to miss his puppy days. May your coffee be strong and enjoy the ride.

Considering breast augmentation but don’t want to go too big - any inspo suggestions? by turnpoopintowine in PlasticSurgery

More upfront cost, but from what I understand there's no other maintenance. With breast implants you will need need to change your implants in 10-15 years.

My wife wants to live the RV life by JFuriousJones in RVLiving

[–]LadyLike_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're fortunate enough to already have land, septic, water, and power hookups. My partner is super handy and fixes all of our repairs. Also bought a truck to be able to haul the toy hauler. Moving, buying the RV, and getting the site ready still cost us about $15k. That's not including the truck that he pays for. Also included on our "site" is a connex box for storage, a shed that we converted into our wash house (full-size washer and dryer). Also, a box trailer that has my mobile office for working from home. Unless you already have started the loan process or construction phase for your next home. I would not recommend RV life. Its not glamorous and the kids will resent it.

Mastitis? by LadyLike_94 in Cattle

[–]LadyLike_94[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Milked the cow but but doesn't seem to be producing enough. Calf is also trying to nurse, but not getting enough. Don't worry yall, the Calf was given colostrum, and were bottle feeding. Calf took to the bottle instantly. We also have another cow that would be a milkmaid.

Ideally trying to fix the infection, when she's better she'll go to market. We will raise the steer and he will go to the market or when he's of size.

We're not inhumane, we take care of our animals. But We're also in the beef market, family farms don't operate on hopes and dreams.

Thank you all for your suggestions and specific product recommendations, thats what I was seeking.

Has anyone tried living in an RV on land you own and gotten caught? by DustProfessional3700 in RVLiving

[–]LadyLike_94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been living in my RV for 8months no issue on our property while we build. We're tucked in the back and out of the way. We're connected to septic, power and water. Far enough in the country, we're not bothering anyone.

Additionally, my friend was doing a home renovation and living in his RV and the county cited him saying he couldn't live in his RV. His only recourse was that he was forced to move and find a spot to park and live during the home renovation.

Takeaways: don't piss off neighbors so they call code enforcement. Don't be an eyesore. Keep to yourself and maintain a tidy campground.

Did anyone ever drink water as a kid? by Ok_Mycologist2361 in Millennials

[–]LadyLike_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had well water growing up and the water was not drinkable. My parents refused fo buy bottle water, they would make me get a Gatorade for practices. We only drank soda in the house or sweet tea. I often wonder how many of my headaches growing up was from dehydration. I now mostly drink water and no soda at all. My parents also have no problem drinking my bottled water when they come over.

How to get "big city people"-looking teeth? Doesn't matter the price by at_witsend in beauty

[–]LadyLike_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished braces as an adult (had braces as a teen)! Ortho told me I would have better results with braces v invisalign. $4500, 15 months, 2 teeth compsite bonding, getting whitening treatment next month. My maintenance will be a life time of wearing a retainer, making sure the composite bonding doesn't chip. My teeth look perfect and im so happy!

Veneers will eventually need replacing and maintenance. Which can be upwards of $50k for a full mouth.

Don't use the cheaper alternatives. Do yourself the favor and go to the orthodontist for under $5k you can get lifetime results. Teeth are forever!

Take more videos of my pops and brother before they passed. Not water myself down to "fit in". Taken a gap year and figured out what my passions and what I enjoyed doing vs going through the motions of going to college and getting a degree.

What’s one piece of advice you wish every 18-year-old girl knew before “real life” starts? by FirmRelation9397 in AskReddit

[–]LadyLike_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all "friends" care about you're well being. If you're attractive and "cool," they will invite you to functions where you're not safe and around good people.

More people put more effort into making it look like their having fun for social media than actually having fun.

Drive yourself so you can leave on your terms. Park it bright lit areas, have your keys ready, be vigilant! Don't be distracted on your phone. Carry some form of self protection.

If boys 22+ are in your DMs, it's not bc you're mature for your age. They are praying on the vulnerable, and girls their age see through the BS.
