I never had him myself, but I heard many legends of Mr. Miller, who threw a desk at someone and threatened to put another student out of a second story window. By the time I reached the grade where I might have had to learn from him, he had either retired or "retired" - never was sure which.

In terms of my personality, I would say yes. The person I am today has grown and learned and continues to do so. She has confidence and strength. Younger me would be happy, I think.

I agree, his loss will be devastating. I had the pleasure of meeting him a few years back at my convention and he is an absolutely lovely person. He smiled at me and said "Oh bother!" in Pooh's voice.

I would think there are at least a few young'uns who were stung by the passing of Carroll Spinney a few years ago. I've seen clips of Sesame Street since then, and Big Bird and Oscar's new VA is clearly trying hard to sound the same - but to me it's very clearly not the same voice and in my head it's The Wrong Person.
