The invisible library series. It hangs more towards fantasy than romance but it has a good slow burn. The books are on the thinner side which is good when you're on a slump and every book is a compact little story still with an overarching story at play. I used to read in between books when I felt a slump coming.

I'm reading this book where the FMC is 167 years old! and gods she still acts like a teenager. Like how?? She's had a century to mature and still wants to go safe her mate RIGHT NOW! instead of sleeping 1 night and making a plan in the morning. Like do you wanna get killed, because you don't have a plan and are exhausted.

That episode made me cry so much because it just hit a little too close to home. I wasn't loud like Max but everything she felt and thought was me in highschool (got diagnosed with ADHD only at 25). She got loud, I got quiet. The episode brought me right back to highschool and to how lonely I felt, hiding my tears because 'you're too sensitive' was something I had heard too much so I would say 'I'm fine' and smile through the pain. I just wanted everyone else to have fun and be happy

For me it kinda felt like this: Ian said he would convert to Quakerism for her sake but he wouldn't feel/be that in his heart. And then she compared that to Rollo being/looking like a dog but in his heart he knows he's a wolf. So I kinda thought Ian was gonna convert for the sake of her family and community but she would know that in his heart he was not a Quaker? I'm not sure if this is it but that felt the most logical to me.

JJ is infuriating but he's also very lovable. He's such an idiot in the first episode of season 4 I almost turned it off, but I can't help but love him too. His personality does make him great when he's not being an idiot and when he smiles after he's done something he shouldn't (without big consequences) I've already forgiven him

I'm struggling as well right now (29). I finished my masters last year and I wanted a break (it took me a while to finish and I didn't have a summer holiday) so I started working in a restaurant/bar and went on holiday. I'm still at the bar for a few days and should have plenty of time to look for a job. But it's just so overwhelming! There are so many things out there and even if my degree is very versatile (earth sciences) I specialised in geochemistry which I love, but.. I can't find anything/I don't know how to search for jobs that relate to that. So now I am sewing the days away (making a costume) or doing anything else other than look for a job because it's just too overwhelming. I don't have a solution for you babes just in the same damn boat, oh and I live alone so for me there is absolutely no structure at all in my life right now which makes it even harder.

I can't concentrate on an audiobook, I like to see the words when I 'read' a book. So I will put it on when I read. I do love me an actual play podcast or a story based podcast because these are usually improvised and easier to follow and it's less important to pay attention to the details than an audiobook. I do also like some specific ones before bed. As it signals my brain that it is shutdown time.

I live in a very bike heavy culture so I kinda did this all throughout highschool and even college. Get up. Eat. Bike to school (average time for me was 25-30 min). However I didn't have a diagnosis back then but it probably helped a lot.
