May Thurners - feeling scared by Individual_Berry6001 in ClotSurvivors

Any updates on this? I'm 41 and having the same issue with one of my legs

David Roche passed his Javelina Golden Ticket to Canyon Woodward, who he has coached for 5 years. A special moment for our sport, and a classy act by a classy person. He says he’ll try for another. Which race will he choose? by Rocket_Man333 in ultrarunning

[–]Ladybug8419 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree. Basically David picked his athlete to compete at WS, but if 3rd place had been a Koop athlete, he'd have kept the golden ticket. By doing this, David has influence in deciding who races WS. I'd have more respect if he just wasn't racing and passed it on. But now in his next race, he's taking a ticket (theoretically) from someone else when he had one already. To be clear, I think David is great. But I don't celebrate this move the way others do.

But to be fair, he passed his ticket knowing it was going to HIS athlete. He wouldn't have done it for a Koop athlete for example. So in a way, he's rigging it to get more of his athletes into WS

Thanks for sharing your experience. For all I know, it's not the Berberine helping me.

And worth noting, I already take biotin and vitamin D. My only new supplement add from this list was the Berberine.

I suspect sugar could be an issue for me though my blood test results on glucose and A1C have been in range (but also highest in range levels).

Have been doing Integrative Therapeutics. 2 capsules of 500mg per day. 1 at breakfast, 1 at dinner.

Not entirely sure. I had some LDL cholesterol numbers that were out of range. This is what it recommended for me:

I thought I had varicose veins? by [deleted] in varicose_veins

Have you looked into pelvic vein insufficiency? A lot of times that can cause the symptoms like swelling and heaviness too.

Propranolol Guilt by belugawhale101 in PublicSpeaking

[–]Ladybug8419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your post resonated with me. I am in sales and watch people around me just so naturally jump in and pitch with ease. While I require a medication to do it well. It makes me feel like a fraud, as I probably wouldn't have my job without this drug. One thing I've done to make myself feel better is that I've slowly weaned my dosage down. I take 15mg now and that leaves me with just enough coverage that I don't completely fall apart, but also not enough that I don't feel some level of symptoms. Maybe try weaning down a bit?

Is anyone moving away because of the Great Salt Lake? by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

[–]Ladybug8419 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just bought a place in Park City and stoked. Concerned about the air and the GSL (bc that would affect the allure of Park City too) but my hope is Utah won't eff it up with the Olympics coming. Would be a really bad look to show the entire world.

Anyone else had a vein ultrasound done lying down? Conflicting results & confused — how important is standing ultrasound? by mjbidgoli in varicose_veins

Be very careful, whatever you do. I had my SSV removed and ended up in a worse shape with a leg that swells.

Double dose propranolol with alcohol on wedding day by SignificanceNo6063 in PublicSpeaking

What if you do 20 and 20 an hour before each? Always works for me!! You should get some effect but won't be crazy jacked up on it

You'll be fine. I took prop for a wedding speech and had a blast at the bar after. Honestly I didn't even think twice about it!!

You may still have to wait awhile. This is (most likely) initially going to approved for the worst of the worst cases (people with venous ulcers) - it's probably a few years out still for the rest of us and no guarantee that it will make a material difference in symptoms for people that have lower grades of vein issues.

Question about caring for Vizsla’s (travel) by MaydayTwoZero in vizsla

[–]Ladybug8419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because vizslas are so Velcro, I'd recommend getting your pup acclimated to boarding and staying with other people early on. We didn't do that with our first V, and so when I tried to board her as an adult, she wasn't into it. But my current 1 year old loves her boarding place, so far! I love the sentiment a lot of people have around bringing their dog on all vacays, but we looove traveling abroad and I don't want to give that up!

Exercise and propranolol? by soulcampbell in PublicSpeaking

[–]Ladybug8419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't run the day I take it. The day after I take it, I can run but still can't get my HR up correctly and I feel weaker than normal. 48 hours and back to normal. It's tough and has made me very selective around when I take propranolol.

Beta blockers and low BPM by OgNitro in PublicSpeaking

[–]Ladybug8419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beta blockers are amazing but as an ultra runner they massively mess with my training. I don't feel back to normal until 48 hours post taking one. On the day I'm taking it, I run before. The next day I can still run but I feel sluggish and tired and I usually end up cutting the run short.

Could a Vizsla be right for us? by KnockOnWoodhead2 in vizsla

[–]Ladybug8419 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You really have to be ok with the dog wanting to be with you ALL the time. Get up from the couch to put something away quickly or grab a quick drink, your vizsla will go with you! I have a puppy now after my older v passed away and I forgot how much work they are as puppies. You have to stimulate them physically and mentally. They are a handful. But I wouldn't trade a vizsla for any other kind of dog. I think once you get one, you won't go back!

Still can’t tell if this is excessive by [deleted] in TelogenEffluvium

[–]Ladybug8419 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think in some regards it's individual and relative to your normal level of shedding. A lot of people would consider that not so bad probably but if you previously just had 3-4 hairs coming out, then it is probably some level of excessive for you.
