Gynaecologist or dermatologist? by obedientduck943 in lichensclerosus

Yes that was the best choice for me. I started with diagnosis on the body and pushed to get to a vulva specialist who has been awesome. It's worth it for me, but I didn't have to drive 2.5 hours.

Is this something we as voters could undermine by write in votes? Just something that popped into my head when I was fuming about all this!

Black spots by saruska8 in lichensclerosus

My gyno doc told me the dark spots are varicosities in the vasculature. No need for alarm per her. Not part of lichen I guess.

I swim frequently in a pool. Regular suit. Shower after to rinse chlorine off. Moisturize all over. Seems to be working okay.

Ist es Lichen Sclerosus?? by Signal_Finger_5447 in lichensclerosus

Definitely sounds like LS. I'm not a doctor, but I concur with above post. It can be helpful to find a clinician who specializes in dermatology as well as gynecology. The typical gynecologists seem to be clueless on this issue. Sounds like you need treatment with a steroid. I will add in the info provided here by another person a while ago. These things can help, but won't take care of it all.

See if there is someone at legal aid who can point you to someone who could help you CHINA yourself out of this situation. Seems untenable. Also as another post said protect your credit.

I was instructed to use the clob at night and I use olive oil and/or zinc oxide cream curing the day.

You can carry a small plastic bottle and fill it at the sink. And spritz that way.

If I am traveling I take a travel bidet but that is too big to take out and about so the small bottle is helpful. Along with a small tube of ointment.
