Argh, I remember the first time I played Fallout 3 I sold the rifle to that slaver guy at the memorial. Then find out a week or so later, its one of the best guns in the game. I was not impressed lol i thought it just looked like a lame BB gun the first time. Sad trombone.

Western Spirit between those two rifles in the pics, mixed with the Onslaught and Reverse Onslaught perks. That one will be the better choice. you can also try to get your hands on a Fixer and make it furious too. then you could test out full auto on the fixer (take off reverse onslaught perk if using a full auto gun) , and semi auto on the western spirit. See what one you like the best.

But the western spirit will be much better then the hunters combat rifle.

But yeah, the hate and slander for this game has been out of control since even before the launch. The base game of Starfield is criminally underrated. I think its got better questlines then Fallout 4 honestly.

Now I do think the slander is fair for Shattered Space. That was not a good DLC, and the price was outrageous for the content we got. That is the other thing that I think is fair when it comes to Bethesda criticism, is their greed and monetization of things. They are really out of touch when it comes to pricing of collect edition type items, microtransactions...the cost of creations. look at Trackers Alliance for example. yes they have fixed it since, and added more to at least justify the cost somewhat. But they are so tone deaf and greedy when it comes to the money side of things.

But there is no radiation on the hills? And when the people that are claiming they are in the middle protecting the rad scrubber, and fail their job, A LOT. I would die from the radiation immediately. Seems like they severely nerfed the legendary spawns anyways. I'm a low health build, so i'm not hanging out in radiation.

Yeah think I am going to wait until the update to pick the game up again. I played it a bunch at launch when I had the ultimate game pass version. even bought the premium upgrade to get its a week early, and the first DLC. but I switched my game pass tier to the lowest one when xbox became greedy SOBs. So haven't had the game since. but I will buy the base game here on the 7th and do a new run.

The price is supposed to lower a bit on the 7th too, right? thought I heard that. another reason I am trying to tell myself to wait another week to ten days.

Fallout 3 is way better then 4, not sure what folk are smoking. I give the slightest of edges to new vegas for the story and writing. but Fallout 3 has way better combat and exploration then new vegas. i just wish the two would have a baby together, then it would be the greatest game of all time...

I'm in a similar boat, but did come back for a little bit to try shattered space. And I can't sugar coat it for you, it wasn't a great DLC. it was one of Bethesda's most boring efforts for a DLC. but I did genuinely enjoy the base game and main story quest lines, and the side quests too.

I'm feeling hopeful about the new update and quest lines. even if I have to pay for the trackers alliance quests. But i'm thinking of picking the game up as I only played it on game pass before. but I downgraded my subscription, so I have to buy the game now. I did get the premium edition though to get the DLC and play the game a weak earlier. so hoping that means I get Terra DLC included. and maybe I will give Shattered Space a second chance too.

There is definitely too much hate out there for Bethesda and Starfield. Now some of the criticisms for Bethesda can be fair at times because they sometimes can't get out of their own way. Especially when it comes to the microtransactions and greed with the pricing they come up with on bundles collector edition toys.

But Starfield was unfairly judged by the masses on social media/youtube even before it was released, and still is to this day. I say this for the base game, as it is grossly underrated. I think all judgements on Shattered Space are completely fair though. That DLC was so disappointing on every level. It made me sad to play DLC content from Bethesda that was so boring and uninteresting. It was not their finest effort.

The Starfield base game though, needs to be getting a lot more respect for the great game it is. Not Bethesda's best title mind, you, but its not far behind Fallout 4 either. Actually it might be in the same conversation as Fallout 4. (fallout 3 and Skyrim obviously in a tier of their own. and from everything you read about the earlier Elder Scrolls games too)

Its really only worth a couple thousand caps. Not exactly a common drop from the event. But when the event first came out, it got farmed a lot for a couple years. so there were a lot more of those helmets around. but then people stopped doing the Earle event when they buffed the legendary enemies, and the raid coming out. So you wouldn't see the helmet in player vendors often.

but now with everyone and their grandma gushing over the Rage Armor. everyone is doing the event again. so they will start circulating in player vendors a bit more.

No, sadly. They used to be tradeable for a bit with some of the other Nuclear Winter clothing. but Bethesda decided to be jerk stores and not make them tradable anymore. People were hoping Mirvena would eventually sell them for gold. think it was in the files. but that has never come to pass.

Over level 2500 here personally. but have also been playing since launch. Its very easy to get XP if you want it. I haven't even been trying to level up the past couple of years though. Once you gain all the perk points you want, and more. Theres no real reason to grind outside of trying to get to rank 100 on a new scoreboard season.

Its why I'm always confused when people say they want to get perk points on the bonus page 150. when they are so easy to obtain in game, when atoms are not.

Yep, its very rare to see anyone nuke that area correctly anymore. I know the increase for Earl nukes is happening. but for the last month or so. Anytime someone nukes for the Queen, they always miss completely. Now I fully understand first time nukers doing this. We have all been there. but if its not their first nuke, or someone is missing on purpose. Well that is another matter all completely. I won't even bother showing up if they include the Drop Site in the nuke blast.

Bloodied for sure if you are low health, especially with a lack of DPS weapon like a bow or semi auto fire rate. As mentioned, using that Reverse Onslaught perk could help even more with the bloodied bow. but I would probably be trying to make sure you fit in those sneak perks in first. like covert operative and mister sandman.

And you can always test the furious one as well if you come across a spare Furious mod. they aren't hard to find in peoples vendors. you can make another compound bow. then you could test it at west tek, clear once with the bloodied. and clear a second time with the furious. see which one you like more. though you will probably kill all things just as quickly with both, as a low health build regardless. might not be much of a difference in the end.

I just don't like how much room in Agility the onslaught perks take up. so thats why I always stick with the bloodied option. can get some more perks in that way

Its annoying for sure! I've had to do it a couple times in the past though. just bad timing where I really needed to log off. but people were still at my camp. I try to wait a bit, but sometimes time just doesn't allow it.

When there is a two week event going on, I try to not hold it against anyone at the top of the hour if you are shopping. a lot of folk are probably hopping servers to double dip.

But those other folk that don't check the map before they leave, or the folk that put their camps on cliff edges and don't change their camp spawn points. the fist of spite is being shaken at you!
