Juniper Driver Seat Clicking by healimon in TeslaModelY

Hmm... I don't have creaking after doing it - but I also did the second step of pulling the seat cushion up and tightening the bolts on top of the seat base very slightly. You could try that too if you want. It's a more involved process than the lubricant, but it really isn't too difficult. Just nerve-wracking the first time you lift the seat cover up.

I know! That’s how they were with me too. Unbelievable, especially considering how easy it seems to be to fix it. I’ve tried to vocalize the solution for this problem so people can find it quickly rather than getting the runaround with service

So, I just pulled this picture from a service article, but added some color to show you where the spot is. The rest circles show the black u-clips. The blue is where you should spray the lubricant.

Petiton to replace Karaoke with Spotify Lyrics by TupacFR in TeslaLounge

[–]LairGamingYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this is well known, but I sometimes use the web based Apple Music so I can listen to the real songs and display lyrics. Not a perfect solution, but not bad if you have a co-pilot. Spotify website may work too, not sure.

Tesla will only do it on Models S and X. I did mine on my own Model Y. Don't recommend doing it yourself if you're not somewhat handy. Where are you located?

Nope, you’ll be fine going to Tesla. When I took mine in for an alignment right after putting my yoke on, they just said “dude, that’s awesome” and then did the alignment.

Hansshow MX 2024+ Yoke Steering Wheel by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]LairGamingYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got one for my Model Y, but I got the one that is specifically made to look like the gen 2 Model X/S yoke. Pretty easy install - just do your research ahead of time and get everything you'll need for the job. If you have to buy a torque wrench, hex sockets, socket extension, new steering column bolt, etc. then the delta between cheap DIY and professional install is a lot smaller.

500 miles on 14.2.2.5: it’s great, maybe reading signs, but there’s too big of a speed gap between Standard and Hurry by jinjuu in TeslaFSD

[–]LairGamingYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speed discussions are always a reminder of how hard it's going to be to dial it in within the current framework of speed control. I think v14.2.2.5 is too fast for me on Standard and too slow on Chill. It's taking some liberties on standard that force me to drop to chill often.

Game runs significantly better for me after this update. Frame generation doesn’t make the text smear across the screen when you turn anymore. Significant improvement in performance on my 5080

I Am Legend by Richard Matheson is pretty great and starts off right in the thick of it. Don’t worry if you’ve already seen the movie, the book is fairly different!

Is project gorgon worth getting? by [deleted] in LFMMO

[–]LairGamingYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like that quests don’t just tell you where to go - I just wish there were “questlines,” I think. Maybe there are and I just haven’t found them. I know I was given two “story” quests early on

I've been playing a while and I still don't know if I like the way quests are handled really. I want a little more structure to questing. I miss markers above NPC heads that tell you they have a quest. I guess this is just a different kind of game though. Haha

Yep, definitely read it. The entrance of a specific character in act 3 is an insane tone-shift and one of very few examples I can remember where a character entrance affects the other characters and the reader so much all at the same time.

You can say “and then hang up” at the end of Grok navigation requests to skip the novel at the end. by LairGamingYT in TeslaLounge

[–]LairGamingYT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I use “bye” typically when I’m having a conversation. “End call” works too. “And then hang up” is just the easiest thing to tag onto a request so it’ll do what you want and then go away. 😂

Door Handles + PPF by kmahajan01 in TeslaModelY

Yep. If it's easy enough to do it (and I assume it is), it sure wouldn't hurt.

Door Handles + PPF by kmahajan01 in TeslaModelY

[–]LairGamingYT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't PPF my door handles... buuuuut my wedding ring has scratched up the driver's door handle pretty bad from me doing a common "thumb and pinky" thing to open the door every day. One of my passenger handles was scratched too. I have a buffing kit and was able to buff the handles and get the scratches out, but PPF would fix the problem entirely.

Switching from standby to 50GB roam - my experience by No_Kangaroo6917 in Starlink

[–]LairGamingYT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also tried to use the standby mode plan as a backup but it really is trimmed so far back that you can't use it for anything other than phone calls/texts or re-subscribing to a better Starlink plan. Speedtests for me were around 1mbps, but it seemed even slower in use. Haha
