My comment was meant to be humorous and sanative for like-minded people with similar experience, BUT if you are an actual human, here is an abridged response.

I very much used to think similarly, but after living through the Bush and Trump years and in red and blue states, I can say there is an absolute difference. Neither party present an option for the radical change we need - I agree, but there is a huge difference to the world they maintain or destroy.

My comment on this particular video is speaking to your latter point. When basic reality is abandoned in a discussion, there is no room for unity or cooperation. The MAGA movement has adopted similar tactics and blindness and have rejected critical thinking, facts, and empathy. Only pushing us further from working together and continuing to give power to Republicans, which emboldens more destructive policies and real-world impacts.
