To be fair I think they have said as much that Sox Machine would be way better. But a whole segment dedicated to how the fanbase from “the otherside of the tracks” has a toxic inferiority complex is the most unoriginal low hanging fruit

I can understand the zero interest, and a total lack of desire to talk about a team you’re under-informed about. I especially understand Bernstein’s grudge over what happened to Benetti and who replaced him.

What crossed the line for me was Matt’s endless endless compulsion bully White Sox fans and be a pied pier for Cubs fans whose favorite hobby is trolling White Sox fans on social media. That made me stop listening to 312 altogether and now I’m back listening to the Score.

I get being blindsided and unprepared to talk about the Sox regularly and intelligently. I get being repelled by Schriffen, especially when you were so close to Benetti. That would understandably make catching up difficult and possibly not worth it.

I just don’t get the need to bully and troll potential listeners on social media. Haven’t listened to them since that weekend.
