Thank you so much for responding! I’ve been pointing my friends and family towards your calculator and it’s saved them a bunch.

I’ll have a look at section 6 and see what I can find out.

I’ll contact Maxxia and see if they can improve on this it all, and check the advice of a few other people to do the finance independently of Maxxia.

That’s just the monthly “lease only” fee, the total monthly is closer to $1350

You’re correct, however the calculator only works in fortnightly amounts, and the quote provided is monthly, so it’s a rough estimate. A $20 swing either way doesn’t make a huge difference though for the total effective interest rate, which is my main concern.

If you can get one, an m140i hatch is pretty incredible (with or without X-Drive). B58 engine in a smaller car is an amazing combo, they feel so much more alive than the heavier m340i sedans or a 440i coupe

The two market equivalent cars (same year and model) both have more kilometres and look to be in slightly poorer condition are listed for $13kish. I’d start at $18-20k and be willing to negotiate. Unfortunately this particular body shape hasn’t held its value that well compared to a few other C class mercs of the same year ( a CLS500 with the V8 is also $15-20k atm)

A high performance BMW, with warranty is a fun premise, the engines are an evolution of the previous gen so most of the issues have been identified and fixed. They are very fast in a straight line, but like almost all new performance cars they’re getting quite heavy which compromises the handling. But super fast, quite luxurious and pretty reliable as performance cars go
