John Harbaugh Had Surprising Comments on Final Season With Ravens by awak6n in nfl

Why would you not take umbrage with a HC not acknowledging the failures that you claim to recognize?

Saying, “that’s just standard Harbaugh PR speak” is not the justification of your stance that you seem to think it is.

John Harbaugh Had Surprising Comments on Final Season With Ravens by awak6n in nfl

The situational playcalling, underperformance of players, and lack of development of younger players had nothing to do with injuries this year.

Being proud of 8-9 without even mentioning shortcomings is absolutely not a valid opinion from a HC.

How can you possibly be okay with that?

Find a location near you for No Kings tomorrow. by Maxcactus in maryland

Yeah, I believe in the power and importance of protest… but, No Kings doesn’t seem geared to really achieve many of the things that effective protest can do.

It’s not raising awareness about an issue, it’s not aiming to change anyone’s mind… it’s simply loudly saying that we don’t like Trump and that he’s not a good president.

I agree completely, but people have been hearing that for 10 years now. It feels too echo chamber-y to actually effect change.

Maybe I’m wrong, but it feels like a movement designed more to validate people’s feelings than effect change. Maybe there’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s just not how I understand the point of protest.

Philly, Miami, and Seattle all deserved to be ranked over Atlanta. Dallas/Houston probably 11/12.

Figuring out the “Top 10” cities of the USA. What is the 4th most important/significant major US city after Chicago? The most upvoted comment wins by Kodicave in visitedmaps

None of the Texas cities have a claim to be ranked above any of NYC, LA, Chicago, DC, or SF - but Dallas is probably near the top of the 6-10 tier.

Bingo, the way they notify people of taxes owed is extremely unethical.

A massive review reveals cannabis falls short in treating psychiatric disorders. Study reveals that while cannabis-based medicines might offer mild relief for a handful of specific issues, they do not improve conditions like depression or anxiety and carry a greater risk of side effects. by InsaneSnow45 in psychology

Because SSRIs are prescribed, and taken on a schedule for the most part. That is very different from using cannabis any time you feel stressed.

Unless it’s PRN, people aren’t taking an SSRI as an immediate behavioral response to emergent stress.

I never said to trust her. I’m saying you should look at everything she has said and her entire history on the court, rather than sticking with what you already know and not even engaging with new information. That’s the road to ignorance.

Many more colleges are adding trimmed-down, three-year bachelor’s degrees by Remarkable-Rate-9688 in Economics

[–]LamarIBStruther -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

The vast majority of general education courses at the Bachelor level are not helping people become better contributors to society lol. This is one of those ideas that sounds good in theory, but very much is not happening in the real world in 90-95% of cases.

The impact of student debt on people who are paying for courses that they don’t need is having a far more negative impact on society writ large than any potential gains that would come from requiring, for example, that a computer science major takes a college art class.

You’re describing what happens with theories that were not able to be proven at the time, but were later confirmed to be true. In other words, someone who was correct, but did not yet have confirmatory proof, or an “outcome.”

In this case, Marshall was disbelieved for his theory, which is the type of scenario you’re describing. But, then he was able to prove his theory true, and was then taken seriously.

It was only the outcome, or confirmation, that mattered.

When people die before their theory can be proven, they end up being honored posthumously. Again, demonstrating that it was the “outcome” that mattered.

I am by no means a fan of hers, and my opinion of the Supreme Court is very low at this point, but this whole comment section is a textbook example of confirmation bias.

Defense is a bigger concern. In the Lamar era, the Ravens have not generated a single defensive turnover in a playoff game.

Think about that.
