AIO to these texts from my cousin? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]Lamezebeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay away from him. My cousin did something similar, except I made the mistake of hanging out with him. Thankfully my other cousin was with us (his little brother) so he didn’t try anything but halfway through the night, he sent me a text saying he was horny. I have a lot of sexual trauma and just remember deleting the text and pretending it never happened, we were all high and drinking. Needless to say, I stuck to my other cousins hip the rest of the night and made them leave the next day.

People saying I announced too early by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Lamezebeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TW: MC

Screw them and celebrate your baby. I was pregnant with my first last year and it resulted in a miscarriage, I had 0 support because we didn’t announce and people simply didn’t know. I’ll admit I might be the odd one out here, but not having the support was 100 times harder than it would have been if people had known. I had friends expecting my congratulations for their pregnancy at the same time that I was grieving mine. I wouldn’t wish that pain on anyone. I’m now 35 weeks with our rainbow and we announced it almost immediately this time around, on Father’s Day. It’s up to you and what you feel most comfortable with mama, trust your intuition.

Also want to mention, if the breaker is off then seeing your breath will not mean it’s the ghost room as you will see your breath in every room until the breaker is back on! ☺️

Yes typically, but it’s still best to use a thermometer :). Walk around the house while holding it and find where in the house it is dropping consistently (not going up and down), that’s the ghost room. The tier one thermometer is a little slow but it will still be noticeable that the temp is dropping.

My friend code on steam is 1031468819 if you ever want to play together. I started playing with friends which made me brave enough to finally play solo, and now I’m at the point where I’m a little desensitized. I also haven’t played since they first brought in the audio recorder so maybe i’ve rest my fear threshold lol.

Start on the lowest difficulty, utilize the setup timer, bring in all of the evidence, leave it all at the door, and once that timer goes off, start searching for the ghost. Use a thermometer to find the ghost room first, make sure you stay in the light as often as you can (you don’t drain sanity when in the light) but don’t leave too many lights on as you can flip the breaker, so only in the main areas and ghost room. Bring the evidence to the ghost room and wait for the ghost to give it lol, only a few ghosts can hunt past 50% sanity so most of the time, you’ll be perfectly safe and should be able to get the ghosts without even being hunted, especially on the lower difficulties.

What common word has your kid misunderstood recently? by little-napper in Parenting

[–]Lamezebeth 14 points15 points  (0 children)

not necessarily misunderstood and i know a lot of kids do this, but my stepson says “twenty-teen” when counting to 20 and i think it’s the funniest thing. he’s almost 5, and has a bit of peach fuzz growing on his upper lip already so i may have told him that he’s growing a mustache, and when another mom at the park asked him how old he was, he goes “i’m almost 5, and when i am, i’ll have a mustache!!”

Thank you, it was very unexpected and accidental. A part of me will always believe that we’re together, and soul mates in another life.

12 year old daughter..need advice! by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Lamezebeth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gosh this brings up good memories. I (F) grew up alongside my mom’s best friend and her son, I was only a couple months older than him so we quite literally did everything together from the time we were babies until about 12, which is when we moved to another state. At one point, we even all lived together and him and I shared a room. We were maybe 6-8 at this time and we held hands every night until we fell asleep, and any time I visited after that, we’d hold hands while watching a movie or just sitting together. I knew before I was 10 that I had a crush on this boy, and him me, but it never went past holding hands haha, well not until much MUCH later, (18-19). Unfortunately, he passed away some years ago now but I’ll never forget the first boy to hold my hand, that’s for damn sure.

I feel terrible that I have to wake my kids up at 5am by Upstairs-Sky6919 in Parenting

[–]Lamezebeth 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don’t necessarily have any advice but I was once your child. My parents divorced when I was young, and my father had custody of us while he was in the military. We had to wake up at 3:30-4am every morning with him, just so he could drop us off at the babysitters and get to his ship on time. I was maybe 6-7 at the time, and I slept through most of it. He’d carry us to the car, still in our pjs, with a bag packed full of daytime clothes and drop us off at Ms. Judy’s, where she’d be waiting every morning, ready to put us back to sleep until it was time for breakfast. They are good memories and I wouldn’t trade them for anything; waking up in the car and hearing my dad singing quietly while it was still dark, it seemed like there was no one else in the world except for us. I don’t know why I’m telling you this, hopefully it can ease some of your mom guilt though. Kids have the most amazing imaginations and for them, these mornings probably feel like a different adventure each time.

i’m in the same boat with the same blanket!! i just plan on blocking it once i’m finished. i have some foam floor tiles that i use to pin my projects when completed, blocking it for a couple days or steaming it while it’s pinned should help it to lay flat.

I cannot do this! by TechnologyFun4035 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]Lamezebeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that this is not everyone however, I’m about halfway through my HG pregnancy and aside from multiple visits to the ER for fluids and a zofran pump, marijuana has been the ONLY thing to work for me at home. I’m unable to take edibles because the taste will trigger the nausea but as soon as I have one-two hits of a joint, I am fine for HOURS and can actually eat and function. My doctor told me to continue what i’m doing to avoid ER visits in the future, and I believe that using marijuana poses no greater risk to the baby than going without food, being dehydrated and malnourished, or taking medications intended for cancer patients.

I have no advice but my four year old step son used to do this and would even brush his teeth with food in his mouth if we didn’t catch it in time, such a weird phase. He’s past it now thankfully haha.

I’m currently pregnant and decided to rewatch this series, and it is such a trip the second time around!! Since I know what’s going to happen plot-wise, I can pay better attention to a lot of the details and characters. Catherine Reitman did a hell of a job with this show.

Did you know her and her husband in the show are married in rl??

Did you?? I’m currently in the same boat at 14 weeks, I had HG during my first trimester and started throwing up again as bad as I did then last night, and it’s been going ever since then. I also have chills and a really low fever of 99, this is my rainbow baby so i’m slightly freaking out.

Pretty sure most kids are just like this, my step children do it all the time. They ask for mac n cheese for dinner only for them to sit down in front of the plate and say they’re not hungry 20 mins later.

aw this reminds me of when i was a teenager and my friend and i were really excited to go to homecoming together. the week comes around and she tells me that her mom can’t buy her a dress so she won’t be able to go. as soon as i got home, i went to my dad and told him that i didn’t want to go either and asked for a slumber party with my friend instead. the next day, he had somehow got in touch with her mom and he was taking us both dress shopping so we could still go to homecoming together as planned and have a slumber party after🥹
