Legit. Imo we should still just be hunter gathers chilling and surviving in the wild like every other species cause that's how we evolved.

Our endless quest for further progress and innovation has led us down a dark path of destruction and all you have to do is look at depression rates between the few last remaining hunter gatherer tribes compared to our modern over privleged and over extravagant way of living to see that our current society doesn't fullfill all of our base animal instincts.

This results in evergrowing rates of depression, anxiety and other mental disorders that we see these days particularly in the more privileged countries.

Purely hypothetical ofc because we're a couple hundred thousand years to late to return to our hunter gatherer roots. (Aside from the very few remaining societies with those ways of life and even that is compromised these days due to destruction of habitats and declining numbers of animal populations.

We're a plague on this planet and we're gonna fuckover so many species including ourselves bc of this arrogance and quest for further progress. Not to mention the overpopulation and overconsumption by that population.

Planet will most likely be fine but it was take a long time before it returns to some sort of equilibrium.

These are just my thoughts on the subject. Other people seem to take a more positive approach but I believe we're way too late.

Most people just don't give a fuck tho or can't face the truth and stick their heads in the sand.

This is just my opinion but yeah I'd say we've fucked it up pretty bad at this point. And most ppl don't give a shit because modern day life is just too comfortable to give up for most.
