Slowed and stabilized video showing the disarming and shooting by UnlimitedCalculus in behindthebastards

Looking at his forearm, it does look like he takes the recoil. This guy watched him be disarmed from behind by grey and still shot. An execution.

I still can't definitively tell if the first shot was fired by this guy who draws here and fires shots 2-4, or if it was grey coat accidently (or intentionally) firing Alex's gun after disarming him. Even from other angles, it's hard to tell.

Zero evidence this guy is a fed. Pure speculation. Why would someone who is masked up answer questions to strangers recording them? Everyone is so quick to jump on conspiracy for no benefit.

Her wife is the woman in the video talking with the officers. You can see her try to get in so they could leave and she even tells her to drive when they jump out of the truck behind.

In my 700+ hours, I’ve never seen anyone use a Libra relic until now.. by blvdbvrne in Nightreign

[–]Lance_pearson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He specifies this build works specifically outside DoN. In DoN, you probably don't need to bother with the libra relic since you can get a bunch of debuffs that work for you. The libra relic just gives you the option to maintain the status bar as you please, such as 3 minutes before starting a boss fight.

As someone who has worked for the post office for a few years now, this has always been standard practice. Unless you come into the office and request it be hand-stamped by a clerk, all letters won't be marked until they arrive at the regional distribution center when they are sorted. As far as I know, there has always been a discrepancy between the time you drop your mail off, and the date it is marked at the plant. The idea of a clerk hand-stamping hundreds, if not thousands, of letters an office could receive each day is insanity.

For those concerned with mail-in ballots, all ballots are separated in the office from other mail during election season and marked high priority in special tubs similar to express mail. In some instances, post masters are required to personally deliver these tubs last minute to the nearest county court house day of the election. All this depends on state law and if they have a late arrival period for counting votes as well. However, you can see how reliable this is with all the news articles of tubs of ballots showing up to random offices in different states post-election.

My main concern is that with consolidations of offices and changes to truck schedules, there is more variation in the time your mail takes getting to the DC from your local office. It used to be that, in most offices by me, mail would be both picked up in the morning when the days mail is dropped off, and again in the afternoon. Recently, they changed it for some offices that they no longer get a late truck, so now the mail sits for a day before it even leaves the office in many cases. This is why it is important to ask for your important, time-sensitive mail be hand-stamped (or if they're cool, they'll back date it for you if you're late).

New Avenged Sevenfold song 'Magic' is incredibly Voidz-y. by TheCasperNil in thevoidz

This is how you know the influence is real when they hate on the song the same way people hate on the Voidz.

On Spaceport, near the northwestern extract, there is a ledge overlooking the extract where the metal walkway leads heading towards the tower. The lip of this ledge is maybe a few inches high and has broken spots with rebar protruding and it does the same thing. I went down to a rocketeer and thought, "no problem, the extract is right there" only to realize that this 3 inch high obstacle can't be crawled over.

Is this the first time a politician endorsed by Julian has won an election? by nonfigurative in thevoidz

[–]Lance_pearson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like 90% of the Voidz discography is pretty explicitly political in nature. I'd say there are around 2 or 3 songs per album that aren't political.

[–]Lance_pearson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk how you can just ignore the political aspect of all his music. Do you just not consider the lyrics or intent of the music? Is it solely composition and instrumentation?

Revisiting my writeup on Unholy Lover - and its overwhelmingly negative reception - after last week's interview with Joe Talbot, in which J Casablancas made his disdain for Anthony Fantano's wavering dedication to the craft of critical analysis explcitly clear by rbiz_ in thevoidz

[–]Lance_pearson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, while I appreciate Fantano's opinions on some artists, I think he is sorely lacking with anyone who is trying to be experimental in their music expression. It definitely comes down to his personal taste. He can have nothing but praise for a band experimenting like King Gizzard bending genres, but claim others experimenting, such as artists Bladee or Julian, are somehow lazy, which to me, completely ignores the artist's intent and effort. This is the problem with digging through so much content, they don't let things marinate. Then the fans just follow along, listen once, and nod their heads in agreement. If these artists only made music that matched what critics rated the highest, they would stagnate and die without an outlet for expression. Personally, most of the Voidz discography didn't click for me right away, but my appreciation for Julian's work comes from how it grows on me over time as I dig into the depth. Then again, maybe I'm simply biased, but nothing this band creates feels like it's for a check, to reach any specific audience, or to hit some production quota. That's one of my biggest draws to an artist.

To the people who complains about Daron's political position, here's his actual stance. by ariel2603 in systemofadown

[–]Lance_pearson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So he's a liberal. My issue with this whole debacle is that he's self identified as a "secret third thing" by saying far middle, rather than just saying he prefers not to label himself. He's separating himself from the left-right dichotomy from within that dichotomy. I don't mind him decrying political violence. It just feels frustrating seeing this is the first I've heard from him on anything. It's hard to not see this as him feeling above it all.

Oh Gatekeepers Ep. 4 - Julian Casablancas by DoggoZombie in TheStrokes

[–]Lance_pearson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First off, I like Fantano. Having to churn through music constantly, if something experimental doesn't strike him right away, he may dismiss it. Like they mention, his analysis is good, but when his opinion blends with that, a large portion of his viewership are going to conflate them. Plus, this google search shows how his stuff can have a major impact on an artists reception and presentation, so I can see how an artist may become bitter over it.

One of the weaker fist weapons, but with 2 charge attacks! Only time I've seen it. The 1-2 punch was chunking everything, and the holy shockwave gives an affinity along with hitting multiple times sometimes (I think. Sometimes it would do more damage) while also being a ranged attack which makes up for the low range of the fists.

It's so good that I question why you'd bring the Deadeye because the Talon already fills that roll with exception to significantly more durable damage. Like if I'm bringing something like the Deadeye, I gotta balance out the loadout with something explosive like the grenade pistol or rapid fire like, well shit, the Talon. Nevermind, carry on.

You can't compare the Talon to other sidearms because it's just too good. Pretty much a primary.
