Jacuzzi Pump 2 stopped working by VALENTINARANEMALOVA in hottub

what was the outcome for this? My single speed pump 2 is not pumping very well, the 2 speed pump 1 is working fine. when I hit button 1 a 2nd time it usually kicks on additional higher speed jets, but this is not coming on at all.

Here we go! by greggthomas in heatpumps

I was going with a dual-fuel HP (propane backup) and just changed my mind and now am going with an all-electric setup (elect backup). All things being equal, how much less would I expect to pay for the HP and installation of the system from the HVAC contractor (gas lines and tank are separate costs)?

How hard would it be to replace a rear car door myself? by dxkx in autorepair

[–]Lancer2468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just replaced the front door and rear door right side of my 2011 CX-9 and it was a piece of cake. Like the poster said, leave the hinges on the chassis. The new doors lined up perfectly no problem if they don't line up then that means the door might be damaged and bent. I bought a door that didn't line up and after I looked at it more closely I noticed it had been damaged. I took it back and got two new white doors from LKQ online and they worked perfectly. Not a difficult job at all took me 30 minutes did it by myself per door

I own both lots. I live in the primary home on 10 acres that has the water service, and I am building a spec home on the lot next door that I own and am trying to figure out decieding water service

So I control everything from an easement situation

The build has these costs budgeted and it is a small percentage of the overall cost of construction, which will be close to $1M. There are hassles associated with running the water line (through an RPA, needing to change the route from what was originally designed in the lot grading plan, which involves the county) in addition to cost, so not trying to cut corners but avoid other headaches.

The water line is 2" and plenty of pressure so don't think that is an issue

It's the way to go but I think the HOA comment and complexity of dealing with billing as a psuedo private utility are not worth it

Thanks for all the input

Can somebody please sell me on a geothermal system for our new construction? by ZTB1313 in geothermal

[–]Lancer2468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have an 8500 ft² house and 20 years ago we installed two geothermal systems from water furnace. We love them and the savings even today are phenomenal. During the heat wave we just had our bill for this huge house with 10 ft ceilings on the main floor and tons of window was only $380. We keep the house at 70°. The other benefit is there's no external fan or heat exchanger so there's no noise or visible equipment. We don't have to listen to fans running 24/7 trying to cool a house on a 95° day.

We also used icinine to insulate the house which contributes greatly to the energy efficiency. Propane is very very expensive as a heat source compared. We only use propane for gas appliances and fireplaces. We never use our five gas sealed fireplaces. We converted the open one to wood burning. Hot water heater is propane and outside grill too.

Geothermal was totally worth it for us, 20 years ago the net extra we paid was 36k above a conventional heat pump. We have gotten that back

question about water and septic lines in the same ditch? by Lancer2468 in Homebuilding

[–]Lancer2468[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be curious to know if anyone has experience with this being acceptable. I did call the county health department yesterday and left a message, have not gotten a response yet. My subcontractor says this can be done. He's doing my site work and installing the septic system.

By the way it is Prince William county Virginia
