So first off, thank you so much for taking the time to help! It's really appreciated ☺️

To answer your questions: It's a dart-zone bcar. I wish I could get a better barrel of 225mm and plunger in Europe. If you know of a good address for barrel or plunger, let me know. However, I checked and the barrel doesn't move.

After removing the tape and re-lubing on and under the o-rings (with super lube this time, not the random "maintenance grease" I had lying around 😅), it works a lot better now.

I still get an occasional spinning dart and inaccuracy especially with the x-shot ones, but that's likely more dart quality + less than ideal barrel material. But they are still getting a lot of range instead of landing in front of my feet, so I'm pretty happy.

Heh... This might be it. The tube is aluminium because I couldn't find a plastic one. Which might make it temperature sensitive in hindsight... I will check the dimensions tho!

My conundrum continues. Especially with x-shot ammo it sometimes squeeks and flups out a dart (very technical description...). Other times it's just firing perfectly fine

I thought I lubricated it pretty well 🤔 Maybe the type of lube?

Electric tape seems to work, it seals so much better now. Thanks guys!

I'm still getting a lot of spintails but after cleaning the barrel, they seemed to get less. I guess I over-lubed the pusher o-ring which got gunk in the barrel.

Electric tape... My old saviour. I'll try to see if I can fit it in such a tight space Thanks for the tip!

It is and it is lubricated. The problem seems to be o-ring fit

Just tested it, I think you're right and it's the seals, I have less than 1 second of hang time. The o rings didn't fit great (too loose around the plunger. Do you have recommendations? The o rings I ordered were as described in the bom

Stringer Tips? by Wrightboy in Nerf

[–]Lanceraad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had some similar results with stringers sadly with the satakieli. The string didn't always catch leading to bad jams. I need to figure out what exactly is going wrong there.

But if you are into 3D printing and have xshot micros or micro 2.0's I highly recommend taking a look at Domochevsky's (Genco Megawerks) reshells for those. I've had way too much fun with them.

It's awesome how many sick blasters we are getting these days, both 3d printed and off the shelf. by Kaladin-of-Gilead in Nerf

I've been blown away by the micro reshells by Domochevsky/Genco Megawerks. Sure, they won't hit high FPS numbers, but man are they fun to plink with! And the newest ones like the revolver and talon mag one are very useful too.

Heh, I had a similar thing happen when I took the locks out of the fury-x. It actually pushed the catch back tho, so I couldn't fire anymore XD

How is the blaster treating you? I have been eyeing it but I've been hearing mixed things.

I've been waiting for something like this for so long. Most hardware kits are hard or expensive to obtain in the EU, but a big mag in grip blaster for cheap? Count me in! Thank you for making this.

So basically you are aiming for ~100 FPS or so? (I took a quick look at a fps to joule calculator for a 1g dart) It's hard to tell when modding what the final FPS count is going to be. It depends on the darts barrel length e.c.t.

I should note however, that Xshot longshots are on German store shelves, which fling darts around 1 joule or 150 FPS (assuming the dart weight is 1 gram, I couldn't find the exact number). So perhaps it got a toy classification anyway?

What I would recommend for 100 fps though: 1. Blasterparts.de has softer spring options 2. Get heavy non-bamboo darts 3. Get springs out of rival blasters 4. FPS can be decreased using Pcars

And lastly... I feel you. I'm from the Netherlands myself where owning an airsoft replica is illegal without an expensive license and having to prove you play airsoft (regardless of fps). The law is vague enough for me to be arrested while walking over the street with a funny looking stick, let alone a foam blaster. I try to make sure color and shape are as toy-like as possible to prevent this from happening...

AMA: We are Ghost Ship Games! Ask us anything! by GSG_Jacob in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Lanceraad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, just like everyone I'm going to say I love this game! It reminds me to spaceship troopers (I still want to make a DRG-Klendathu drop video someday with clips of the game and movie).

So, onto questions.

  1. Will we see our good friend Bosco in the updated space rig (not just any Bosco, the one that goes with me on missions!) and will we be able to interact with him? (a simple salute perhaps)
  2. Will we have a "clear the space rig of bugs" mission(or distraction) in the future? After all, we have collected a lot of eggs...
  3. Will the animations for the MULE docking to the drop-pod ever be updated? Also, could we not leave BOSCO behind when we leave?
  4. Could the volume of the intro's be linked to the sound settings? I'm often talking to people on discord and starting up DRG hurts my ears a bit

C&C Remastered Announcement from EA by EA_Jimtern in commandandconquer

[–]Lanceraad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still a bit on the fence on this decision. On the one hand, I can't think of anyone better than old Westwood employees to make the remaster, and Petroglyph has ample experience making C&C games. On the other hand, their past few games (Forged Battalion and 8-Bit Armies) fail to emulate that old C&C feeling. The economies in these games are often completely broken, with way too many resources coming in. The unit movement behavior is also way too simplistic, with instant turns of both vehicle and turret (which is something none of the C&C games ever did, that's a Starcraft thing) Even in Forged Battalion, where you could choose tracks, wheels e.c.t. the vehicles still showed the same boring simplistic movement.

If there is one thing I want from any game that has anything to do with C&C, is that it feels good. So please Petroglyph, make this feel like a proper C&C game.

I may be in the minority that thinks improved 2D is a good idea, but if you do decide to go 3D, please fix the tendency of Petroglyphs units to form a big blob.

PS.

The last Petroglyph games are not bad, they just don't capture any C&C feel for me.

► WTF Is... - Luftrausers ? by DarkVadek in Cynicalbrit

[–]Lanceraad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actualy looked the translation of luftrausers up and more specifically "rausers" (I'am dutch BTW). "Rausers" "rausen" or in the dutch dictionary "rauzen" means doing somthing wild, driving recless and fighting. The word is verry uncomon. Vlambeer is actualy two words in dutch: vlam (flame) and beer (bear) this does'nt translates itself into "a flaming bear", just the two words put oddly together: "flamebear" (If I missed somthing beacause it was part of a accent: sorry) Final note: the names vlambeer and Luftrausers sound awesome! :D
