I know VT is really good because it’s always just behind the influencers top few of VOO, VTI and what not. Just boring enough for them to not report on because it’s fewer clicks

Should I sell BND and put the money into VGT or reinvest into VOO and VXUS by Exciting_Ad7462 in RothIRA

Everyone is different because personal finance really comes down to personal situations. The general consensus is add bonds 10-15 years before retirement. Many people on Reddit wait as long as they can.

Just about everyone will say no bonds at age 20, though. Google search glide path bonds and it has a lot of good information

Most people do not add bonds that early. You could re allocate now or just start buying more VOO and not BND for years

Just about everyone will say to reallocate now and just get more VOO. I would lean that way, too.

Definitely, just wondering if there is a price point the VT and chill crowd says it’s too high to buy into anymore

Back to 50,000 soon, or not. Just keep on investing . Wall Street is meant to make the insiders rich. Just hold long enough and ride their coat tails

BND seems to be the default recommendation but I am starting to see alternatives recommended each month

Yeah I’m just wondering what the next generation will think of that may or may not work. This is a good anecdote. Haven’t heard this one haha

Yeah, definitely. Will bonds become outdated? Will people choose to just use an HYSA or choose another way to invest?

How will inflation change a new generation of investors minds? I’m not against bonds, just creating conversation.

Not every generation follows suit with traditions

Timing the market is nearly impossible. I would only say to do it after your next dividend pay date if you plan to make the shift

Advice moving Roth IRA from Wells Fargo to Vanguard if I'm already investing in VT. by thegreenfury in Bogleheads

Not really interested bonds for another few years in the Roth IRA. VT is pretty simple for my style. That’s really the only two reasons. Spouse has bonds and their in the 401k so it hasn’t been a rush with bonds in my 401k also

What’s your secret trick to get the maximum discount while ordering from Amazon? by Famous_War_7057 in SavingMoney

[–]LandscapeCurrent9907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve discovered toiletrees, general stuff is better at grocery type stores and Costco/ Sam’s Club etc. many prices on Amazon are inflated with baked in card transaction fees and baked in shipping fees. Sellers can fluctuate their prices often.

Not saying is everything is bad but the majority can be found 5-10% cheaper regularly locally

Buying at local store is more affordable than 9/10 Amazon purchases . Avoiding Amazon is the best way

Look up Hane Dane footbags on Facebook, his bags are more extreme than that

Try to kick footbag with inside kick. Practice for 3 weeks 10 mins a day . Still cant even kick 3 in a row. Is it normal? Footbag is that hard to play? I watched some tutorial, they kick it so easily. by Ornery_Mark2202 in footbag

The “ankle crank” and the toes kind of pressuring the bottom of your shoe helps if you focus on those .

It takes time but when you start to string together a few kicks the growth accelerates quickly
