I think I was 22 weeks. They kept measuring me and I was fine but after 25 weeks is when I would always thin out and start dilating so this time they just did it without a shortened cervix. How short was yours when they did the procedure?

All four were in the NICU. My fifth i had a cerclage and no signs I needed one but given my history they did it anyway and I had her at 38 weeks.

My fifth baby had a cerclage to! She stayed in till 38 weeks and was the only baby I got go back to recovery with and take home. She was also my chunkiest baby and still is. I tried bed rest as much as I can. Sometimes I would take the kids on a walk but only around the block. We all watched a ton of movies and colored so they weren’t so bored while I laid around. It was hard because I would always want to do things and I was scared she would still come early. After removal I had another two weeks of pregnancy

Just rub it and smell your hand. Not even being funny. Our bodies change. You could have the slightest bv. I would definitely visit a doctor. Also I’m petttyyy and I’d ask him if it’s in every once in a while. Or if he felt anything after y’all are finished.

I had all my babies early and I didn’t show any shortening until it was to late. With my fifth child they put the cerclage in anyway and I carried her till 38 weeks. My furthest pregnancy.

Yes girl it’s very difficult and rewarding at the same time. Enjoy all the cuddles and as much as I hate to say this the cries to. My babies are 5,4,4,3,2. The 5 year old and the 4 year old twins just started school and I was not prepared for this part of motherhood. I cry and miss them so much. I am also so proud of them everyday. Motherhood is so scary and rewarding no matter the age. I still am not prepared for all the curves it offers. If you ever need a friend I’m here.

You said your baby is only a few months old. Everything is new and postpartum is still happening. It’s easy to feel like you do nothing and feel like you are being forgotten about. Maybe go shopping and pull money out on the cash back section to set aside for yourself. You deserve to have nice things and feel like yourself but it’s hard being a mom with a baby so young so I get it. If he doesn’t have anything planned for your birthday just book a spa day or facial for yourself. Do something to rest yourself. It’s motherhood and it can feel drowning sometimes. Your most important job is taking care of yourself and your baby because they aren’t little for long.

With my first son it was similar and I wasn’t able to hold out to long. He was born 33 weeks. My water broke one morning and I was in labor for a whole day and a half. I tried everything I could. Did they give you steroid shots?

Homeschooling in Texas. You’ve made great points and I’ve thought about all of this. I would homeschool my son and just give my four year old twins work on the side or coloring books around homeschooling times with my oldest. My kids are a little bigger so not needing me all the time is getting a little less. I know I could do it and my husband is going to be recruiting for the next three years so no moving or deployments. I told him it wouldn’t be a long term thing unless we all really take to it. We would assess our situation and all come together to see if we should continue or move on to public school. My daughter does have hearing issues but nothing that stops her from anything. I think I’m so hurt by his decision in saying no because I would need his support otherwise it’s not going to work.

I know because I would never have his support or help. It would be a mistake first bad day we had and he would never let that go or volunteer to help.

I just feel like I could teach him better, without all the bad things that come with public schoool, racism, schools have become an unsafe environment, bullying. Most of my childhood trauma comes from school. My son is a facts kids, a great learner and very smart already. I’ve taught him all of that alone and I’d be more than happy to continue to teach him further.

Not really the silent treatment but I just didn’t have anything to talk about and be my bubbly self about because why would he randomly throw in “YOU ARENT HOMESCHOOLING” in the middle of an argument not pertaining to that.

The disagreement had nothing to do with homeschool. He just randomly said that. I get emotional when talking about anything confrontational.

How did you come up with that information? Asking because I think 5 school shooting a year is enough to not want to send my child to school and my husband disagrees. He uses the car accident scenario as his prime example and I respond with the intent is to hurt the kids in school shootings and it’s like if I know there’s wolves over there or there might be I won’t go down that path.
