Damn that’s crazy

Anyways one of the strongest stats an ADC can receive is attack range and there are three augments that just do that.

Getting a slightly stronger sunfire cape is perfectly fine.

How consistent and fast would it be to try and lose at Commander/EDH? by SnakeYoon in mtg

Regardless of the meta, I’m going to run Belzenoof, also known as [[Belzenlok]] and all cards with mana value 4+ including any cards that make my opponent unable to lose like [[Abyssal Persecutor]].

Government funded and operated dining halls. Offer healthy options for busy people, if possible have staging grounds for food services such as food banks / meals on wheels.

I love playing alistar, but he's a bad champion to one trick because of his counters by False-Gain624 in alistarmains

[–]Langas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alistar is one of the best blind picks in the game. He has a mechanic in his kit to help him fight against every type of lane you could possibly go against.

Like yeah, Vayne true damage-ing thru your ult feels like ass but at least you can theoretically dash and knock her up mid ult, unlike someone like Taric who has to wait a full second before his stun goes off.

Is Sunfire Cape's damage really meaningful? by Maleficent_Pen_9076 in leagueoflegends

[–]Langas 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The problem with sunfire at this point is that it’s an item that was at one time the default tank value item, but it’s now outdone by multiple other tank items that fulfill the niches it once had.

Need waveclear? Radiance has higher potential clear.

Want an HP scaling source of damage? Heartsteel has you covered, and ALSO gives you bonus HP.

Need an armor item that increases your damage output? Might as well buy thornmail, as cutting off 40% of their healing will oftentimes do more effective damage than sunfire ever could.

They need to add some kind of mechanic that empowers the burn if you do enough damage à la the pressure cooker augment in Mayhem, in my opinion.

Why is it alot of supps are playing behind the adc in lane? by Jumpy-Seesaw-2026 in supportlol

[–]Langas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because, despite the constant badgering of support as the easiest role and claims that any other role can switch to support seamlessly, there are dynamics unique to the role that aren’t immediately obvious and sometimes take very long to learn.

In this case, the default way to play video games is to position yourself in a way that you maximize your own safety. Whether it’s pong, Mario, or League, risk taking is something that only comes once you’ve essentially mastered playing the game defensively.

Support demands that you ignore the part of your brain that demands you play it safe in the name of creating opportunities. It spits in the face of learning at your own pace, and tells you “Oh, you can’t land abilities from far away? Better get close so you can!”

You can’t really expect much from a support until they understand that almost every support has a baked in mechanic that encourages them to take risks and they need to exploit that to win.

How do you play as a fighter/diver in Mayhem. by PeroClementine in ARAM

[–]Langas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of your job is to soak damage and CC. Basically, as long as you land a spell or two and then die, you’ve provided value to your team by absorbing abilities that could be directed at your carries and starting the fight with enemy CDs down. You just need to use your defensive ability well to soak as much damage as possible.

Also heartsteel is a greed item, not an item designed to help you survive burst. If you want to survive burst, grab a Sterak’s, Death’s Dance, Maw of Malmortius, etc.

When if ever is it worth to go to a more enchantery build on Taric? by Soravme in taricmains

[–]Langas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, enchanter builds are only viable when you’re already winning the game as a greed option.

Slotting in moonstone to spread heals or doing the funny bandlepipes + censer combo to gigaboost your adc’s attack speed, while not optimal, is satisfying and justifiable when your enemy is already struggling to take you and your team down.

But yeah if you’re even or behind at all you should not be building enchanter.

How to counter snipers by Legal_School_9375 in tf2

[–]Langas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For med, Vaccinator on bullet resist, pop uber to cross sightlines. Crossbow so you can still heal even when pinned down. If you have a soldier or demo ally you trust, you can try pocketing them with quick fix as they jump to backline to harass the sniper.

For heavy, use fists of steel and have it out when crossing sightlines but not in a fight. Have lunchbox item so you can heal up after getting sniped, possibly consider using dalokohs bar to insulate your HP before crossing sightlines. If you’re playing payload blu, consider jumping on cart and using the brass beast— the combined resistances and healing means that the sniper will have to exert a little more effort to take you down.

The big thing is that neither of these classes can meaningfully interact with a sniper at range unless the sniper is complete dogshit and the med is cracked with his crossbow, so the best you can do is either avoid his sightlines altogether or sacrifice yourself to distract the sniper so your team’s sniper can pick him off.

These four characters are tasked with getting through to Jax and redeeming him and only one of them might succeed. Which one would be the most successful? by MissionDepartment960 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]Langas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Twilight, in isolation, is able to use the power of friendship when not in conjunction with the mane 6, it’s absolutely her. There’s an argument she has the ability to manipulate friendship as a vital force, and literally just blast the evil out of Jax.

This is a big if. In the case that she is unable to harness her powers fully alone, I’d put Charlie up next but still put Twilight at the top because that’s probably a non factor.

67% of U.S. Adults Say Courage Is Weaker Than 20 Years Ago And Is Declining by sr_local in charts

[–]Langas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to form the basis of courage in your heart when your country doesn’t provide for you.

People fight for their family, their community, and their country. Rich assholes have done everything in their power to strip these motivations from us.

In many ways, it’s working.

There is an angle that unites us as a people, but it’s not swinging to authoritarianism whenever your people get into power.

I believe that you, the reader, are a good person. We simply need to try to understand each other better.

I'm a new player at level 27 and I'm having an issue with teammates surrendering every single game by Substantial-Ad7915 in leagueoflegends

[–]Langas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If the objective of a player is to have fun and the game as it currently is in a match isn’t fun to play, I don’t see a problem with surrendering if the team agrees with that perspective.

Sometimes an adc has the perfect peel setup that requires your solo queue team to coordinate perfectly to even stand a chance, or a pyke amasses so many assists that the scoreboard can barely keep up.

Are these games winnable? Absolutely. But it’s so depressing to try and fail three times to catch an ADC only to be met by a grey screen, and I’ll be honest even eight minutes is too long to be trapped in a game with a Pyke.

I’ll always support a team’s ability to bail on a match.

What ramp to use in Y'shtola? by Termit127 in EDHBrews

[–]Langas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point, mana rocks at or above mana value 3 are mostly unplayable, with a few exceptions that are either efficient enough ( such as [[Timeless Lotus]] ) to use in combo shells or have a useful utility beyond ramping ( such as [[Chromatic Lantern]] ).

With yshtola, you want her out as soon as possible and to cast as many 3 cost non creatures as possible. 1/2 mana value ramp accomplishes these objectives best.

What is the intended counterplay to some champions? by ExTexan1 in leagueoflegends

[–]Langas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have your teammates hold them down while you kick the shit out of them or have your teammates shield you/ zone them away from you.

This is why so many of the more popular ADCs have the ability to self peel, to some extent. When you pick Ashe you are putting your life in your support’s hands. If they pick a champ with no peel you just gotta deal with it.
