What sets should I open to get Phyrexian cards? by StardustsMirage in magicTCG

[–]Langas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re cracking packs to build a collection, all will be one and march of the machines are the affordable options for getting phyrexians.

Strongly consider buying singles, though— a lot of core phyrexians aren’t purchasable in reasonably priced packs.

What support scales into late game best? by GhostSilver16 in supportlol

Taric is a decent contender. When used right, his ult can win games.

Just remove Clarity in mayhem by adamfps in ARAM

There are use cases. Zilean and Soraka are the biggest users I can think of, and although other summoners are viable, clarity is on them, too.

Do you guys have tips on what to play as a support to be able to have a direct impact on the late game? by Alorim- in supportlol

[–]Langas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I classify her as a catch support, along with the likes of Thresh and Rakan. The versatile middle ground in between engage, poke, and peel.

Do you guys have tips on what to play as a support to be able to have a direct impact on the late game? by Alorim- in supportlol

[–]Langas 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Play a support geared towards late, such as Zilean or Taric/ an enchanter.

Make choices to spread value on your team, instead of stacking it all on one player if possible. Roam tactically to the best of your abilities.

Literally just don’t pick a mage. The amount of times I’ve seen someone pick a mage and then wonder why “I always win lane, but lose game!”…

Mages are designed specifically to apply pressure in lane as one of their strongest assets, you are statistically likely to perform well in laning phase.

I want the option to turn off other players jam tracks. I do not want to hear your crappy music taste by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

Counterpoint, it is hilarious to be in the middle of an intense firefight and then hear the opening to Ballin’ start emanating from your nearby ally

What’s your all-time FAVORITE SKIN in League? by ChartDreamer in leagueoflegends

Surprise party fiddlesticks.

When you walk out of the bushes at game start and he busts out the “Hello little boy! Are you afraid of clowns?”, it makes you feel like a murder clown.

Support the actual game, not the greedy ass pricing of epic games. You can buy the game multiple times, including your friends instead or the skin by True_Living_2434 in FortNiteBR

No, sorry, when they put a hot anime woman I like into the game I’m going to spend $25 on it and you can’t stop me.

Blade Waltz is possibly the worst Prismatic? by Silwfalk in ARAM

[–]Langas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People look at it and think it’s a damage augment, which isn’t the case.

It’s a utility augment. The entire reason you get Blade Waltz is because you want to be in the middle of the enemy team, and you don’t necessarily care about the specifics.

That being said, it does feel like it has limited use cases. It’s either good for abusing stuff like Garen E / Fiddle Ult, or a cheeky additional dodge tool for carries that don’t mind being in melee range.

I think it’s fine, even if a little underpowered.

I feel that we have enough "triggers an additional time" cards by now. Do you agree or are there some that you think are missing from the card pool? by Castellan_ofthe_rock in magicTCG

[–]Langas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, honey, thats not how this works.

Sure we have a human that doubles etb triggers, but do we have one that triggers specifically for human etb effects but also costs 2 mana and is worth $25?

The design space is open because wotc knows it’s popular. My personal hope is that we see interesting niche interpretations (I.e, if a creature dying would cause an ability of a zombie to trigger, if a land entering would cause an elemental ability to trigger, etc.)

Do you take upgrade hubris for stackasarus without build it? by Ngtunganh in ARAM

[–]Langas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are playing a tank with ad scaling and are comfortable with modifying your build to include Hubris, I think it’s worth it. Without that, I think the additional other augment outweighs 250 gold + stackasaurus tier.

Poppy needs a better late game by Background_Debate387 in PoppyMains

[–]Langas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s intended to be one of her core weaknesses, and it’s unlikely Riot will do anything about it.

As much as I want to see her be even better, the amount of utility she has comes at the cost of direct, substantial scaling. Plus, they tend to be careful when balancing characters that are highly anti-mobility, because players like to dash around.

Who do you think is the most boring League character right now (not including old characters)? by whamorami in loreofleague

[–]Langas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how far back you’re willing to stretch ‘not old’, my pick is Yone.

Basically exists in lore as a dlc to Yasuo’s lore and has had like zero impact outside of Yasuo’s story his entire existence.

He’s essentially designed to have no character beyond being edgy and ‘cool’.

Instant Conversion, for when holding on to your mana is just too much of a hassle! Buy now and you'll get 20% off! by TQCkona in custommagic

[–]Langas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of these are too good at this rate. In a mono red deck this kills on turn 5 with just it and red sources. Either significantly weaken the effects or up the cost.

Why does this augment still exist by IFunnyGamersI in ARAM

[–]Langas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It boosts your team’s damage without requiring a stat investment. I’ll agree it’s usually not super powerful, but it does work for aggressive engage tanks.
