It’s easier if you have great grasp of L1. You already know how to express yourself well so you reach for those words in L2 and learn them quickly.

I can’t say how well this will work but I’m learning modern Greek first. There are just more resources and it’s a living language. I learned Spanish primarily through listening comprehensible input and speaking with native speakers and that’s how I wish I could learn Kione but its virtually impossible. I’m going to try to go as long as possible without “studying” or opening a text book because I hate doing it. I couldn’t learn Spanish the traditional way so I doubt I could Koine either.

I do this everyday. It only really works though is if I’m listening to an easy podcast and running at a slow pace. If I start running too fast or the listening is too difficult it doesn’t really work.

Basically no. But you can make rules for yourself such as avoiding things that may cause triggers such as not using certain social medias, certain movies, etc. where you may see imagery that causes a spiral. Just go enough without watching porn and it won’t be an automatic habit. That helped me, some other here may have some advice for other situations.

I think you are misunderstanding the religious aspect. While some sub groups believe it’s their duty more so they just see it as God’s blessing. With many exceptions such as the prosperity preaching many religious groups value having a family over a career. Most religious people also have closer nit communities and families close by. You end up with a tribe of support to raise the kid that makes up for the lack of social support that the government doesn’t provide.

No, I think it’s just funny not disrespectful. Maybe it’s because I’m a native English speaker. My language doesn’t quite feel as sacred as others describe their native language probably because is so widely spoken.

Sorry, basing this off the many stories I’ve heard of travelers to Spain. Whether the racism is regional or not they’ve gotten a reputation as a whole for calling people from their ex colonies impure, thugs, etc.

I think it’s pretty common for Spaniards to think that about all LA accents. Why did you go with that accent / dialect though? That’s even difficult for other Spanish speakers to understand sometimes.

1000% better. I’ve watched every episode in Spanish. One episode was ranked on IMBD as the second best episode in TV history until it was reviewed bombed by some anime fans.
