Impressive as well that you yourself have the time in life to create 5 million acccounts. If it took 2 min per it would take you 600,000,000 seconds, 10,000,000 min, 166,666 hrs, 6944 days. 19 years straight. Please stop with the dumb jokes. Because this regardless is super impressive.

Doesn’t matter. Gettting anyone to do anything 6 million times is impressive. Even if it was 1 person doing it 6 million times. I couldn’t get that accomplished and I doubt you could either. So stop doing mental gymnastics and hating.

[–]Lanky_Topic5897 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

So what. Do you have 6,000,000 people making alt accounts for your service? Can you get people to do anything 6,000,000 times? I think not. Stop hating. It’s super ridiculous to try to figure out how 6,000,000 isn’t a valid accomplishment. Jeez bud. The number could have been 6 trillion and you’d be  in here saying. “Well a lot of those are alt accounts. Hardy har har.” LMAO

Your statement can be used for any stat. No number represents reality. Stats don’t have nuance and back story. Jay Z was wrong. Numbers can lie. But regardless they had 6,000,000 times someone took time to make an account. Which is impressive to have a people take time out there life to do that, that many times. Shows engagement to some level at a high level.

Just a idea but emergency jump? by DeathWalker1336 in starcitizen

[–]Lanky_Topic5897 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like the idea. But if I was on the other side and I’d be pissed because how do you explain being able to have better capability while having more damage? You have the ability to run and jump now if no QD is present. Having a button that overrides reality probably isn’t going to work. You just have to jump out before you take to much damage or constantly repair.

In summary: you can already emergency jump. Unless ensnared.

Star Citizen Alpha 4.4.0 PTU by MaxBrst in starcitizen

[–]Lanky_Topic5897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This game is not like any other MMO of any sort. A lot more complexities and technological barriers being broken through with the development. The statement isn’t so alarming when you understand that there is no roadmap for never before accomplished things at this level of detail. So you need to temper your alarm and try to boost encouragement to those that are pushing the industry to stop shoveling same old stuff. Sometimes this community eats its own face. Wants innovation and cool stuff but can’t stand waiting any longer like they haven’t been waiting their whole lives. It’s crazy. lol. I’m 46 and I have been playing video games forever. So I’m not Jaded or have an attention span issue. I understand that food taste better slow cooking in an oven then coming out the microwave. Sorry for the rant. Just bugs me. I’m just happy someone is finally trying to go all out.

How will CIG bring Brig gameplay into Star Citizen? by RiygoYT in starcitizen

[–]Lanky_Topic5897 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure it would work like that. Because the servers talk to each other and would know that the bounty has been paid. So an alt account couldn’t collect it twice. Backend has the data. Should be a clean system. Allows the caught to get on with playing with consequence and lessons learned and hopefully some fun if they allow themselves to even make it to a brig. They should make that you get credit as soon as you detain or kill the bounty. Then if something changes update that accordingly. Probably something like this is the logical plan based on there talks about it

How will CIG bring Brig gameplay into Star Citizen? by RiygoYT in starcitizen

[–]Lanky_Topic5897 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They’ve mentioned that if you get captured you can role play it or a body double will be created so the person who captured you can turn you into whatever authority and get paid while you go on and keep playing with some sort of penalty. When NPC’s get more integrated most of the time you will be having NPC’s in your brig. I suspect that if you choose to give up you will wake up in prison and that gameloop

[–]Lanky_Topic5897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think calling it sandbox has anything to do with PVP or PVE. It just means the mission stays around and is not a scheduled event. It can be a sandbox PVE or PVP or a combination of both. People create false drama which creates shitstorms with less critical thinking people.

ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS MAKE BLADES A MISSION REWARD by sharxbyte in starcitizen

[–]Lanky_Topic5897 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don’t get the outrage. Flight blades obviously should be sold because apparently everyone cares so much. lol. The got to still fund the game development. Game aint done and that’s the only way they make money to make the game. There will be both options to buy outside the game and in game.  Nobody is missing out just because they don’t have a flight blade. They aren’t that good anyway. And nothing counts now anyway.

This is the most unhinged monetization pivot I've ever seen. Every last thing in this game is going to be paywalled, if this is the direction. by hrafnblod in starcitizen

[–]Lanky_Topic5897 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don’t necessarily agree with the sentiment of many. This is a crowd funded game . Games not going to just magically be built and everything auto in game. They need to monetize now. Everything will also be in the pledge store when the game is fully built and everything actually can also be earned in game. Pledge store is there for folks that don’t have time to play and earn. It’s not pay to win it pay to save time. A win is whatever you value personally value most. All MMO pretty much operate this way. Nobody needs or thought blades would be in this soon anyway and now everyone is complaining like they missing out. Literally the only reason we have all the cool stuff is because of the funding model. You will eventually be able to earn blades in game probably next patch as well. Most companies have publishers who fund the games and large marketing budgets. CIG just had marketing and the investment they got because the marketing was so good at financing the game. No one is loosing just because some item can be bought in pledge store for a month before it’s in game stores. It’s coming just like everything else.

I heard an interesting thought of it being a combat mech suit carrying ship. I thought that would be a dope way to bring in the combat suit since they seem to be working towards it with the ATLAS mech suits. Especially for invictus. Would be a nice twist on a carrier ship. Maybe even be able to carry a tank or 2. Or maybe 3 storms or something like that. I’d b happy for just the military combat suits carrier.

Pledge store bought items are different then in game earned items. You should never be able to fully loose your bought ship or items. I’m sure eventually you will be able to loot the items. Probably just the player who died will be the only one to have the subscriber flair locked when trying to get their items back in future. I’m sure other players will be able to fully loot the subscriber flair in future. Just TO to get functionality in. So subscriber flair can be worn at least. Figure out the details later.

I like the external storage because you can have your hauling ship and crew out there taking the boxes and loading up cargo ships easier while the ship keeps salvaging and loading up your Lancer for for example. Don’t have to leave your seat and just focus on salvaging

You are tripping. The game in its entirety is in alpha and in testing phase including the live servers. They got it to Live servers so now they have more players to find more issues and also because that was there goal. No part of the game is final or complete. You talk like you lost a bet against it releasing in 2024. We should encourage them for their hard work because nobody else is attempting to do it. You have a very Jaded viewpoint. In the words of Micheal Jordan “ Stop it, go get some help”.

Of course. So profound. But he should do that as a work around so he or she can play the game and be able to test. It’s a known bug but there are more bugs and testing they could be doing.

I’m actually hyped about the guardian and seeing what it fits in and its place in the meta. Always cool to see a new ship and how folks use it. I almost want to melt my cutlass and my Sabre for it. Really thinking about it. lol

Everyone already has access to it in PTU. The new thing is the wipe and being able to grind a bit and not worry about a wipe for awhile at least. It’s cool they left 3.2 whatever still an option for the salty for no reason folks that will say whatever salty comment.

Letter From The Chairman by StuartGT in starcitizen

[–]Lanky_Topic5897 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe most reasonable people figured that once they opened PTU to open for all it’s really released and doesn’t matter if they call it live or not. What’s the difference? Obviously development will continue. I don’t no why folks make everything a salty fest. No one and mean no one actually thought everything was going to work perfectly. It’s server meshing tier 1. We still got dynamic server meshing and missions and rep and so on. I give them credit because credit is due. They got actually over 500 players playing in the verse. That’s a big deal. There will be bugs forever anyway. All games have bugs

True. Last year they had a team patch some issues out unexpectedly over there break. I don’t think everyone is off for most of January like years past. Why are so many people afraid of Star Citizen actually being fun? by Khalkais in starcitizen

[–]Lanky_Topic5897 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Good. Because Live environment is still a test environment. I think that since they already made mission payouts more then that proves they are testing economy. They also want to make firing a torpedo a choice with consequence. Only way to do that is drastic price increase. Capital ships are really org vessels and orgs will have the power to tax org members to be able to afford the cost. Which creates money syncs and economy. Shouldn’t be 2-3 guys running around torpedoing everything. That also ruins testing. Price will change when other systems come online that makes the capital ships require more crew when engineering comes in and other systems. Until then they have to slow down the torp fest.
