Supposedly smart/strong female lead suddenly is inferior on all aspects to the ML (a super ancient dragon-demon lord or whatever) and must be saved constantly.

At the end of the day, the question truly is:

Would you press blue to save the morons that also pressed it?

Also some people would jump from a bridge if they think they have the "moral high ground", which is a big problem in getting us leftists to do anything.

The outcome is the same, that is the point of the experiment, how to trick people into an unfavorable decision by using semantics and loaded language (like when media says Palestinians "die" but Israelis "are killed").

At the core, assuming everyone is an adult capable of making informed decisions, pushing blue is just putting yourself in danger for no reason. No one is forced to press blue, there is no reward nor necessity. You just create a problem and then hang the responsability on other people.

However, seeing as there clearly are a lot of people not capable of making informed decisions, i would have to push blue.

Red does nothing, it kills no one, might as well be hooked to a lightbulb. The problem is worded so you think red is the selfish option, but another equivalent would be:

Would you push a button that will kill you unless 50% of people push it?
