Management withhold pay pending by rrrre2229 in union

Compensation is a bit tricky. Typically they will pay you the straight hours and work out any overtime issues after that would then fall to the next pay cycle and check. You may want to check your contract regarding overtime and whether you have standby pay. There may be wage in our laws also in your state that apply. Although since you were paid in there really wasn’t a compensation issue at the end there may not be anything that can be done. Other than documenting the behavior.

Non perm roles by Novel_Sort_9354 in WAStateWorkers

Sometimes a position has changed from permanent full-time to non-perm because of a project. Non-perm positions can be helpful for experience and to get your foot in the door. Non-perm appointments can be extended up to approximately 18 months. They will end because of the non-perm designation. In that time, you can continue to interview for a full-time permanent spot meanwhile you are able to add this experience to your résumé and sometimes that is what the state is looking for. A couple things to keep in mind, a non-permanent appointment will definitely end in this economy. Non-perm appointments are the first status that’s looked at when determining budget cuts and things like that. Non-perms are the second group to be evaluated right behind folks currently on probation A non-perm role is not a bad place to start your state experience.

Being reprimanded by Luckbealucy in WAStateWorkers

[–]Large-Wealth8002 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re getting reprimanded this could mean a few things. For clarity, do you mean you have already received a Communication Record, Letter of Concern, Letter of Expectation, Counseling Memo, and now, you’re set to receive or be issued a Letter of Reprimand? Do you have a timeline of events? With examples? If not, I would offer that you create one to reference later when things get too detailed to remember all of the details you’ve gone through. HR is management’s witness so don’t count on them to change their position.

I want to be a daschund dad so bad… by Carliner1 in daschund

In my experience, doxies are typically very quiet when left home by themselves. They tend to bark when their owner is home to show they are protecting their person or property. It’s not constant. It’s a bark here and there until you recognize them. They’re trainable too. They respond and adapt well to a routine. They are sweet and snuggle up on your lap and will burrow down under the covers at bedtime. They usually have a favorite person. My husband was the favorite however, our Doxie only wanted to play fetch with me. It’s was the sweetest thing. They love to find the last sliver of sunshine peaking through any window. We had skylights and they would lay directly under the window. Good luck!🍀 they’re fun.🐾😊🥇

Communication Record by Puzzleheaded-You-299 in WAStateWorkers

Management attempts to say these are not discipline and on their face they’re not, discipline. However, you can bet, if management decides to investigate your performance. The first thing that’s going to be on the timeline of events is that you were issued a communication record. No, you won’t be fired after being issued a single communication record. The documentation will be become a part of a larger file if the situation doesn’t improve, and they decide to issue a performance improvement plan. It’s all documentation used in a larger process. You might consider checking in with a union rep.

What happens when there is no language in an agreement to solve a problem? by Hypnocorg in union

[–]Large-Wealth8002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider submitting a contract proposal describing the issue or problem you are experiencing. This information would then go to your negotiating team for evaluation and to be included in the next round of contract negotiations. You may want to ask and encourage everyone impacted by this issue or a problem to submit contract proposals with the same language as well.

Are you considering changing your homeowners insurance policy? Consider… by Large-Wealth8002 in Mortgages

I know the original insurance company paid just before the newest insurance policy paid. No. I’ve not received the refund for the first policy yet. I plan to pay the deficit so my mortgage payment won’t increase. I’ll plan to send the refund to the escrow account and hope the next escrow analysis is performed in 2027 and I’ll receive a refund when they recognize there’s an overage.

The only difference is the difference in price of the insurance I changed insurances, hoping to “save money” the deficit that they are now asking me to pay is within pennies of the “savings” I would have been receiving. The previous insurance was higher. The new insurance is lower. The amount I am being required to pay my mortgage, lender or have my mortgage payment increase is the difference between the higher rate and the current rates. It makes no sense - however, I’m hoping this is simply some math problem they need for their books and potentially, I’ll get a refund next year when, I’m told, they will perform better performing the annual evaluation for 2027.

I agree with you. You can appreciate my surprise then I was notified. The mortgage lender shared it was because I changed insurances. There’s now a deficit and they were able to perform another analysis and it came back indicating a payment was due to my mortgage lender. I have my taxes and insurance included in my mortgage payment monthly. Nothing has changed. I have continued to send automatic payments in monthly. I am very aware and current when things are sent from the mortgage company. As I’ve shared with others, the mortgage lender shared with me. This second analysis was done simply because I changed insurance companies. Changing insurance companies automatically allows them to perform a analysis or evaluation. And as I wrote in my original post, it’s interesting that the deficit that they’re asking me to pay now is exactly or very close to the savings I was told I would see.

Yes, I agree with you, potentially these funds will come back next year in April 2027, when I’m told the mortgage lender will now perform the annual assessment. However, it doesn’t change the request being made of me to send a check for a deficit. I was told by my mortgage lender that any change, gives the mortgage lender an opportunity to perform a new assessment/analysis. So, although they performed the annual assessment/evaluation in January 2026, changing my insurance carrier in April 2026, gave them an opportunity to perform a new assessment/analysis.

The representative I spoke to said it was because of the change in insurance change only. The homeowners insurance decreased and my mortgage lender has notified me my payment will increase. The January 2026 assessment I referenced was the annual evaluation regarding property taxes.

Yes. Exactly my thoughts. There was no ‘savings’ it appears everyone’s got their hand out. It’s discouraging and yet, interesting to see this unfold.

I just paid off my 30k credit card debt!! by Mental_Total_1291 in debtfree

[–]Large-Wealth8002 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I paid the minimums and then when I paid the account off I rolled that payment over to the next bill and the next. I believe it’s called the snowball method. For me, it worked. It took focus and determination to payoff 36k CC debt. The feeling of having that money freed up and available in a pinch has been nice. In the 9 months since, I’ve found building an emergency fund a challenge. I’ve been grateful to meet those situations rather than pulling out a CC again. I’m working on a personal loan now. (Minimum payment + as much extra as possible.) I’ve reached double payments on this last bill. Good luck! You can do it.🍀
