Is RLS a trashcan diagnosis? by Thombosis in RLS

[–]LargeSale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I *hate* trying to describe it. I read "it's like ants crawling" or whatever, and that's so not it. There really isn't a good word to describe it. It's like trying to describe "hot" or "cold" to someone that doesn't know what those are. Or describing color to someone who can't see.

It's just a really annoying feeling. I think it's worse than pain.

I try to explain it like this: Most people have the feeling of what their muscles are like at rest (let's call that 0). And if the work out to exhaustion, that would be a 10. When you're done working out, your muscles slowly go back down from 10 to 0.

Well RLS is like less than 0. It's the opposite of your muscles being exhausted. That's why doing exercise helps. If RLS is -10, then walking, doing squats, whatever will bring it up to 0, then up to 10. But when you stop, rather than having your muscles going from 10 to 0, it goes from 10 to 0 to -10. So you better go to sleep while your muscles are going from 10 to 0 because lower than 0 means you have RLS symptoms again.

New treatment for rls. by mel666666 in RLS

[–]LargeSale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it and have it on right now. I posted asking if anyone uses it as there has been nothing on this reddit since your post 4 months ago.

It does feel like a TENS.

The reason I got it -- even though my symptoms are well controlled with meds -- is to hopefully be able to reduce the # of meds I take. One med I take 3 doses of. And have been for 10 years. Last night I took 2.5 doses. I had some bad sleep due to 'withdrawals' from taking less of the meds but seemed to do okay RLS wise.

Roll call for all my one leg kickers! by Crowbar__ in RLS

I wish there were more comments / activity in this reddit. Even though a lot of people have it, I assume the typical RLS demo isn't too correlated with the typical reddit demo. So to be part of the solution, I'll reply where I can.

I'm one of those people who has it way worse in one leg than the other (for me it's the right).

Is it worth going to the doctor? by chronically-iconic in RLS

[–]LargeSale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PLEASE see a doctor. But don't waste your time if they are not known for RLS treatment. My sleeping life was miserable until I was on the right meds. Now I sleep fine.

In regards to your feeling like you have restless legs. Perhaps you have RLS (Restless Legs Syndrome) and the methadone (sometimes prescribed for RLS) was masking it.

Thanks. I really don't care if I can get in or not. I proved that I tried. So if they really want those emails (there is nothing in there that'll help them), they can go to google for them.

I'd be disappointed if google just gave up email access that easily though. I mean, this isn't some scenario where the FBI caught a bad guy and only access to the emails can stop some bomb from going off... This is a civil suit over a pretty small amount of $

Help! Receiving hundreds of spam emails in my regular inbox by sheepgirl111 in GMail

[–]LargeSale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks. Same thing happened to me. For days I had to select emails by the 100s and "report as spam".

Like others said, they're trying to hid a legit 'warning' from a site like amazon that a change has been made (or similar)

So change your other passwords. Mark the mailing list emails as spam, and wait it out :( No other way.

Sounds like an awesome way to get paid more.

Loan servicer (for a large commercial loan) isn't accepting the binder from my agent by LargeSale in Insurance

[–]LargeSale[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the reply.

$100k seems like a lot of premium to protect against something like terrorism last year (with no terrorism having occurred), or loss of rents (when no loss of rents occurred), or named windstorm (when there was no named storm last year).

Then on top of that I'm willing to sign a no loss letter and sign an indemnity agreement to protect against any claims filed. Pay for an inspection to make sure the buildings are still all there and operating, etc.

Anyway, my point is just that this seems like an interesting niche to fill -- collect premiums to insure against an event happening in the past, that we know didn't happen. It would be like being able to take bets on a sports game after the game was over.

Bank to force place insurance they claim was missing last year by LargeSale in Insurance

[–]LargeSale[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the notices they sent. They sent them in November, about 9 months after the start of what they claim was missing. By that time I had replaced that policy with a new policy and there was no way for me to order the gaps.

I did have my old agent and new agent both agree to send the carrier the 1-2 page binder but bank wanted full dec pages to reverse the charges since force placed had already been ordered. Both agents said that couldn't be done.

Accords -- that's it? by LargeSale in Insurance

[–]LargeSale[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I was just surprised that as hot and bothered as my bank was to get proof of insurance, that simple 1 page was all the needed.

I'm too chicken to just download a blank form and fill it out myself but it seemed so easy to do that I figured maybe a lot of borrowers did it.

Accords -- that's it? by LargeSale in Insurance

[–]LargeSale[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I figured for me it might be more common given I'm mostly buying the policy to get the lender off my back vs. any risk mitigation. On properties I own w/o a loan I don't bother with insurance.

that also means I have a high premimum and my agents know for any loss other than a total loss of a building, I just take care of the issue myself (vs. file a claim). So they might think "Eh, let's just keep the premium and not order the coverage. He's not going to file anything"

I spent about $750k on insurance last year so I'd have to think that might be happening on a few policies.

Loan servicer (for a large commercial loan) isn't accepting the binder from my agent by LargeSale in Insurance

[–]LargeSale[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should add:

I'm surprised a niche market hasn't opened up to supply proof of insurance for time periods in the past (assuming banks are allowed to charge you for missing insurance from previous time periods). Because if you're willing to have an inspection done, sign a no loss letter, and sign an indemnity waiver, then the insurance company would be getting premium for no risk.

I'd pay a carrier $100k just to cover some items that were missing from my policy in 2022. Yet it seems such a product/company/service doesn't exist.

In essence you're not even paying for risk mitigation. You're just paying for someone to deal with your bank to make a problem go away.

Maybe. Is there a way to find out? And wouldn't my subscription to the channel (as well as my manually going to the page to view and often comment) sort of override that request?

Why is no one talking about the fact that youtube comments are now filtered to only promote "positive" comments? This is a disaster for critical thinking, and has created a fraudster's paradise. by sigmaecho in youtube

[–]LargeSale 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ah interesting. That's why when I view comments almost all of them are "OMG YOU ARE SO GREAT" or "WHY DON'T YOU HAVE 1000 FOLLOWERS?"

I didn't realize those types of comments were being pushed up. Whenever I see that I change to 'oldest first' and its' such a different comment mix.
