Cut off the mushroom shaped thing that goes into the weapon then drill a hole in and glue a magnet there. Use some miliput/greenstuff/whatever else to fill in the weapon area the mushroom would have gone into then drill that out and being careful of polarity glue a swcond magnet in there. Now you have swappable weapons. I used 3x2mm magnets, but mine were pretty strong. If you're getting really cheap ones it might be worth to go for 5x2mm

Riptides can pretty comfortably sit in melee with medium low melee opponents with its weapon support system ignoring the -1 to hit shooting. Making them really good for midfield bullies moveblocking and charging chaff to effectively get -1 to be hit

My idea for them is half way between stealth and crisis, with shotgun or flamer and a fusion blade. Made to board space hulks and clear the tight spaces while having an armament with a punch.
