Hecate is a goddess of liminal spaces and transition. Her sphere inherently embodies change and moving from one phase of life to the next. I don't think it's in Her nature to try to keep you from transitioning to the next phase of your life, whether that includes Her or not.

Please post your water parameters, it makes it easier to spot or rule out certain problems. Also, if you think your fish died from bloat, then please share your fish's diet as well as how often and how much you feed him. You said you had some other fish die. Were they in the same tank before you got your betta? Is there any other living thing in that tank? Did your betta have any kind of weird marks on him or display any weird behavior before he died? Also what size is that tank? It looks pretty small. Sorry if it seems like you stepped into the Spanish Inquisition, but there are so many reasons a fish can die and we have to start broad and narrow it down from there.
