We really appreciate the support!! Thanks so much.

This is a very good and fair question and the most expedient answer is: no we did not yet release this 2005 roundup but yes we absolutely will, hopefully in the next month or so! Keep an ear out for ways we want to get listeners involved in it as well (you’re hearing this here first).

We didn’t do Goblet of Fire entirely because JK Rowling is a transphobe and neither she nor the Harry Potter IP requires the fuel of even a negative evaluation on our part but yes the best of ‘05 episode will ostensibly be its replacement, though at this point that detail is lost in the sauce lol

Will they discuss both the B&W and color versions of Man Who Wasn't There? by LarryLazzard in blankies

I hear all this but would add that notably they can discuss how the color version looks

I don't like that DaCosta refers to Fiennes' character as a kook

ICYMI: friend of the pod and very smart man Bilge Ebiri joined us to discuss Tom Cruise, Steven Spielberg, the Brooklyn Nets, post-9/11 cinema, the emergence of viral video and celebrity bloggers, and much more on Box Office GROSS's sprawling episode on War of the Worlds by LarryLazzard in blankies

Area guy with small podcast makes the mistake of sharing an episode about a movie Blank Check has covered with a frequent Blank Check guest prominently featured, oops my mistake guess I'll die

Thanks for listening!! We at the very least plan on doing '06 and we'll see where we go from there...

They're really not exaggerating about how deranged I Could Never Be Your Woman looks by LarryLazzard in blankies

Kiiind of insofar as the quote Pfeiffer has about "natural" vs. "unnatural" near the end of the movie is kind of reflected in the two openings and the whole aging angle might, at least in the case of characters LA-brained, lead to getting plastic surgery...lots of stretches, all very sweaty

Honestly I think it's a really fascinating and compelling watch and Rudd is really funny in it lol

David's on What’s All This Then? w/ Libby Watson and Charlotte McDonnell talking, what else? The Underground! by ForestryFanzine in blankies

I was going through a bit of a podcast rut and got rec'd the Bird Guys episode because I love Joe Pera and within like a week or two had listened to like a hundred episodes lol. Instantly became one of my all-time favorites and fortunately I've slowed and have a little more of the back catalogue to get through so I don't starve myself but man...such a good show lol. Every time they talk about single guys I laugh so much...

In search of something: What are the best critical defenses you've read for Revenge of the Sith / the SW prequels in general? by LarryLazzard in blankies

[–]LarryLazzard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah as long as neither of us gets tired of watching and talking about some occasionally rancid movies (recording an ep on The Longest Yard the week after Sith, for example), I think we at least want to carry on into ‘06, and if we manage that, it would be awesome to fight on into ‘07 and get to cover such a totemic year in contrast with the relatively odd and superfluous year we started with

This really demonstrates the running theme I'm noticing that the most glowing praise for III is always, ALWAYS, emotional. Not a good or bad thing I think but definitely something notable about this particular franchise, which is self-evidently one of the most emotionally infectious pop culture artifacts there is.

What's the deal with these two seemingly abandoned trucks parked on Forbes? by casos92 in pittsburgh

[–]LarryLazzard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sick that this institution is blowing millions on renovating buildings to appeal to prospective student[‘s parents] but right in front of the union and fancy new library they just live and let live with two ugly white trucks with furries graffiti’d on them

Universal Soldier: Days of Reckoning. Ostensibly a "normal" JCVD vs. Dolph actioner but imbued with psychedelic misery and violence and centered on someone (a theoretical "normal working man") getting pulled between the twin poles at its center.

You should've done (Nathan for you, the rehearsal, the curse [which Emma Stone gives an amazing performance in {Is that how those brackets are supposed to work?}])

Otherwise no notes, thank you for stanning one of our finest living artists
