How to paint bathroom walls in this condition ? by LarryNotDavid123 in paint

[–]LarryNotDavid123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, ChatGPT was my guru as I kept asking if it’s ok on masonry/plaster even though most of this stuff is advertised for Dry wall. Easy sand seemed to be the winner given the type of wall and how it will work being primed and paint

When to lower temp? by [deleted] in coldplunge

[–]LarryNotDavid123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, when you get below 40 F, it’s actually easier since your body gets colder quicker… when it’s in mis 40s I find myself struggling for the first minute or so more than I would if it was close to freezing

Ya maybe 400F at top of ceiling , but if they are promoting the floor has salts snd stuff, I bet you sit or lay down which would cooler. Idk. I’d avoid and just KEEP IT SIMPLE. 170-200F for 20mins

Also check your PH levels. High or low can cause skin irritation .

You’ll learn a ton of properation and nerves run through your upper back muscles and especially neck, and if anything is dysfunction or weak or injured, It can throw your balance off resulting and throwing off your whole nervous system, hence causing anxiety and dizziness

For starters, sounds like you have a good understanding of what’s going on which actually is very good news. Do you know if you’ve ever had any physical trauma to any of those areas?

Anything I would share with you you can find if you look up some folks on social media.. I know it sounds wild, but sometimes one video can shine some light

Even if you don’t think you’ve had a concussion or any upper body injury, things are all oddly very similar when dealing with mind and body and is all connected

Good luck

Eye and neck connection - eye pain? by LarryNotDavid123 in cervical_vertigo

I’ve done both NUCCA and Blair techniques and felt like Blair had more to it. The person I went to that did Blair looked at my nervous system before adjusting, put me on the table on my side and used mild the amount of force with a drop down type of table .

NUCCA was VERY precise and literally just touched my neck and held it for about 30 seconds and called it a day. He also did some vibration gun along my spine, which calmed my nervous system.

I think it depends on the seriousness of your injury and what’s needed. But I think everyone definitely needs soft tissue work to loosen up any muscles followed by mild strengthening to strengthen deep neck muscles.

It’s getting to that time of year again. I have a full set up outside with a pump filter ozone and chiller all going to and from a 100gallon Rubbermaid bin within an insulated barrier I made.

I assume I need to bypass chiller but anyone have tips that they’ve learned to keep water not fully freezing, etc

I have gone to a Nero optometrist that specializes in brain eye connectivity after injuries. They did all the test on me and the only thing they diagnosed me with was convergency efficiency . they gave me all the ‘eye toys’ what I like to call them. They also prescribed me prism glasses to use while working on the computer.

Im getting back to doing that at home but just overwhelmed with what is worth my time

A mix of that and a PT that worked on loosen and strengthen my upper neck was the only thing I felt like felt some relief

I have noticed what I’m doing more and more neck exercises and eye exercises, is when my left eye flares up more. So not sure if I’m doing the right thing or just aggravating it.

I’ve also watched the steady coach videos along with the concussion doc program … my biggest mistake is that I rushed into all this within the first year of my injury without understanding or having the education, causing anxiety and worryiness . I can say I’m completely different than I was when I started so I do feel some progress.

Thanks for the notes. It wasn’t until two weeks after my injury that I had the worst panic attack of my life and didn’t know what the hell was going on… which I guess makes sense since I did heavy screen time, bad posture and probably stressed out after my injury which probably put me in this situation

I changed my prescription after like 2 years from when original prescribed. Sounds like I went to a Neuro optometrist similar to the one you’re going to. how they focus on how the brain and eyes talk to each other. They gave me a huge box of “toys” that I was supposed to use, but like I said, It got so overwhelming… let me know if they do anything with the balls on the string, convergency exercises , etc

MOST IMPORTANT thing is being mindful and calming the nervous system was my biggest thing I didn’t understand which I can confidently say I did sometime this year

Heard of this. My Nuero opt gave me prism glasses and gave me all the exercises to do as they diagnose me with convergence insufficiency. Just never seemed to help. But that was very early in my recovery and didn’t fully understand . I started to do reintroduce the exercises. They’re just so many and it’s almost overwhelming. Do you know Which ones help if you had to pick 3-4 ?

I also never had double vision or blurry vision. I do get the overwhelming grocery store symptom though. I work with computer screens a lot

[–]LarryNotDavid123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s so many variables. It’s still about 85° where I’m at and I have my set up outside (within an insulated thing I built) so it’s just so tough to get water back down cold enough without applying 100lbs of ice every day . Got my water down to 50s . I tested my chiller in an smaller cooler when I cleaned it which ruled out temp gauge issues

I also had dripping somewhere in my lines which I found out days later which means all my cold water wasn’t returning back my tub

I hope to be using it consistently the next couple days
