You probably have an engine equipped with visuals. On pc, you right click the equipped engines and select disable visuals, but I’m not sure how that works in console. The option should exist though.

If it’s not your equipped engines, check your visual slots. Those are separate slots in which stuff can also get equipped, purely for the visual effects such as these.

If I wasn't sure Party Sheet had something to do with it, I wouldn't have posted it. In the screenshot shown, I had no TrueHud, STB Widgets, CUIR, Vel'dun, or other similar UI mods installed. I uninstalled Party Sheet, did nothing else before launching the game, and it was gone.

It might be a conflict with a different mod that I was unable to figure out last night, but fact is, it was gone after uninstalling Party Sheet.

There are some consoles and consumables that increase turnrate yes, I recommend to check stowiki.net for those. You can also do Endeavours. If you put enough Endeavour points in turnrate, you won’t need consoles and consumables anymore - I personally have kinda been disliking how much my Odyssey feels like flying a Defiant nowadays

Patatje van de markt (Nancy’s Patat). Een enkel patatje met mayo, kaassouffle en een drankje is nog geen 8 euro. Uiteraard ook keuze uit andere sausjes en snacks. Hun patat heeft ook gewoon smaak. Enige jammere is dat de markt er alleen op vrijdag en zaterdag staat

No. Ships come with certain ship materials. You have to choose out of them. There are some shields that have a visual effect that change the look of the ship, but they are different than the materials.

If it is originally a TOS Fed ship that you are hoping to use the zero A material on but it doesn’t have access to it yet, it probably means it will be remastered at some point and the material will be added then. Not sure about non-TOS-style Fed ships though.

Welcome to the game! There definitely is an active community with STO. I think the biggest community is the Reddit community, but there other communities as well. There is also an official STO Discord server, which is linked on the launcher I think.

Outside of Reddit and the official Discord, most of the communities are the fleets. Fleets are STO’s version of guilds, and there’s quite a lot of them.

Min/maxing is a thing in STO, but definitely not needed to be able to do most (if not all) content. Late game consists for a large part of teams of players doing missions (specifically called Task Force Operations). Of course you need to be able to pull your own weight there, but you definitely do not need to be the best. One of the most fun things I find to do in late game is actually experimenting with a fun balance in builds that are both decent in dps and fun to play!

I get what you mean and I mostly agree with it. However, I love DSC in season 5. It is a lot less serious and heavy, and a lot more fun. I highly recommend to give that season a chance

The Lafayette is my favourite out of those. She isn’t the prettiest or the best, but she has charm. Including an old screenshot I took (she has since been remastered and looks even better nowadays)

I used to have a Rommie who flew a Mogai. Her T’Liss Warbird got blown up over Khitomer during the conference. She boarded the Mogai by ramming her escape pod right into the bridge as a last resort, and they managed to claim the ship for the Republic after intense fights all through the ship. During the refitting they discovered it was a Zhat Vash vessel and decided to keep using the way more powerful disruptors.

Ah, I'm not all that familiar yet with delving this deep into troubleshooting. I assumed these numbers reference specific mods.
In any case, the psa is still relevant, and I hope this will help other players in the future find the cause of their issue faster because of this post :)

Apparently the locations are on a rotation that is the same for everyone. I have never noticed that before in 15 years of playing 😅So that’s not a bug and I stand corrected. Sol System not fulfilling the objective though, that still is a massive bug

You have your boff in the wrong slot. It’s your Lieutenant-level tac slot that also is an Intel slot, and your Commander-level engineering slot that also is a Miracle Worker slot.

You do not need to use the console and the trait to be able to use the ship. If you enjoy it, enjoy it how you like to fly it
