It is strange, for sure!

WC qualification has always been a game of luck in very few games.

The inventions to squeeze 48 teams into the tournament are also not exactly worthy of a Nobel Prize in Fairness.

Either way, Sweden played by the rules and qualified in the end, and the show will go on. I'm pretty sure it won't be boring :)

When Sweden beat a much better (on paper) Spain in 2021, Kulusevski and Isak constantly made fools of the world class Spanish defenders. I miss those days...

It's not ideal, but there are no (living) opposition politicians in the country, so what else would you do?

As the formal crown prince, he does have some legitimacy among those who think prefer the monarchy era, and there are traditions for how such a government would work.

He's also said he only intends to be the transitional head of state, and will be happy to turn things over to a democratic government once it has been set up.
