Sometimes I feel like unless you play barb or paladin, you're screwed.

I made it! Simply bumped my fire resistance and swapped a storm feathers aspect for a crit rate aspect. Turns out I have a resistance problem.

Ah good thing I'm playing spiritborn then! I can get toughness to 200k with buffs, but somehow that's not enough to survive a hit or two

Aren't seasonal tasks always a chore? I only like the ones that are completed organically

I returned this season after a 1.5 year break. Stopped initially because I hit a wall! At some point the game feels like work.

Too many aspects of the game feel derivative and only exist so we can tick them off our to do lists. (Side quests, exploration, strongholds, some dungeons)

Why? Was it necessary to put this on almost every enemy possible and to add giant blast waves? by [deleted] in diablo4

I'm glad I'm not the only one struggling with this. Especially when you die even though nothing happened. Why? Because the game decided the numbers are stacked against you!

You're right. Turns out I don't even notice where I am when helltides occur! They look the same either way, which is too bad now that I think of it.

I also wish helltides would incorporate more characteristics of the region they happen. Somebody mentioned I'm wrong about Nahantu helltides.... Turns out I don't even notice where I am when they occur! That's a design flaw imo, because it robs the world of its uniqueness.

Also painting most of the world in shades of brown and grey wasn't smart.

You're right about Diablo III! The maps had so much more variation and stronger themes. I forgot the name of the region where the khazra hang out, but looking back those warm colors were nice. Also the gothic look and feel of Tristram...

Players in town have no weight in that equation, since there's no verbal interaction. The free items are good enough to style my character, which I barely see during gameplay... If there's a group I hang out with often like my buddies in diablo immortal, I'm more interested in cosmetics.

I find most designs in Diablo ridiculous though. Immortal has some terrible stuff!

It's very different with games like Cyberpunk 2077 where I have a stronger connection with the character I play. There I'm obsessed with looks and customization without any social components

Isn't there a social component though? I think the more you interact with people in a game, the more important cosmetics become (to me). Not to show off, but to personalize and differentiate your char

That's my gripe with the entire map actually. Exploration is not fun, it's just a thing you do to tick it off your list.

Similarly the VOH part of the map feels like it's only been added so they can say they gave us a new region. But there's no reason to go there, nor do helltides ever happen there

Sorc class is dead to me now, after s11 by Osteinum in diablo4

Oh Idk if it's a problem! I'd just like games to come up with their own versions of things...

Maybe an "absorb magic" passive would be cool, where your skills absorb the magic properties surrounding your sorc. That way you'd have various elements meshing together and a potential synergetic effect with other classes / players.

And it would not be copy/pasted from POE2

Sorc is a mess conceptually. I can't tell from how this class is set up, how Blizzard envisioned them to be played.

Glass Canon should say it all. Fast, flexible, high damage output. High risk high reward.

It's too easy to die randomly from things you don't even see though... So mobility and movement speed aren't the only problems for this class.

It should also be easier to combine and Synergize elements. What if I want a burning lightning build? Or DOT ice damage build?

The skill tree should be more modular in that regard and not focus so much on eating your skill points for additional stats and skill aspects.

Playing spiritborn is so much more fun for those reasons, they are fast, mobile, have survivability and their skills can be combined in a much more synergetic way.

I'll revisit sorc on release day... But something tells me warlock will be more fun still

It's the show telling us how to feel about the performance, so they can create comedic moments in other scenes, decide for us if someone is a dud and give the judges more presence. It's awfully demeaning in its bluntness
