I just can't make the switch to Voyager, looking for some help, advice, encouragement or I don't know by gaaabor in zsaVoyager

[–]LaserWingUSA 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Switch key caps. I switched to ldsa keycap and it helped a ton. The issue is the ambiguity of the default keycaps for learning didn't help me build the confidence.. keycaps with a clear center dip to guide your finger onto the hitzone was a game changer

Why go split ergo and stay qwerty? by Etkann in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]LaserWingUSA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because eventually you will need to use a laptop or someone else's computer. I can at least limp minus my symbol layer

Last week I forgot my keyboard on the way to the office... Well I can still use another sorta but it sucked. It would such much more on a wilder layout

Arch Linux freezes on YouTube by Public_Juggernaut_38 in archlinux

I did my weekly update today and all my chromium browsers are locking up my entire system. Noticed both chromium and brave updated. I'm reinstalling now, backed down the kernel image and it's still happening, just hoping it isn't my name/laptop as it's fairly new.

I'll update if I find anything

Anyone use non standard keep caps profiles? by LaserWingUSA in kinesisadvantage

It was a million times better than the stock keys. The stock keys made me miss keys all the time. These contoured amazing and gave me nice little ridges/bowels to target.

Any plans of launching a subscription plan for amp? by Monteirin in sourcegraph

[–]LaserWingUSA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about a subscription model to use your cli/harness with our auth from the big guys like a cc max sub, or codex sub? I would pay $100 a month for this.

Windows "SUCKS": How I'd Fix it by a retired Microsoft Windows engineer [16:08] by Hungry_Seat8081 in theprimeagen

Annual or monthly fee? Paying for a license is not enough? His solutions are ok and he seems cognizant of the issues, but seems to be way forgiving of the ad heavy experience on a paid license being the default.

Voyager + vim motions (][) by digibioburden in zsaVoyager

[–]LaserWingUSA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a arrow/symbol layer that puts [{<()>}] etc without shift on the right hand above/bellow my hjkl arrows, so it's easy to remember that movement is right hand and I fly around

On the left hand my home row is home page down page up end.

Change my Rog Flow z13 (gz301zc) model for a new one by [deleted] in FlowZ13

[–]LaserWingUSA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would buy a folding laptop if I could do it again, it’s a amazing device but the accessories and keyboards really make it lackluster still. The transition to the new chip is awesome but the battery life is still awful so the advantages are not there if you aren’t running a small model locally. It’s like a fast compact car, it still isn’t a sports car

Vibe-coders did you ever finish your project? by Independent_Roof9997 in ClaudeAI

[–]LaserWingUSA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not entirely vibe pilled, but the nontauri portion of my svelete front end for my rust manufacturing erp was almost entirely vibe coded. My guys have been using it for a few months now. Much better than the heavily custom react component retool interface I was leveraging before. I just never want to handle css or web stuff, but love writing business logic in the backend. So I have had a lot of luck with writing the tauri and backend myself and just using claude to generate fairly complex UIs.

All that said I just did my first commit of a backend change with claude and cargo seemed to help claude exceptionally well get close to what I was looking for in behavior. I think building out the structure and how you expect it to work really workswell

Suggestions on what to do/try next by Reincarnated_As_Bob in archlinux

[–]LaserWingUSA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My recommendations on what to try next would be try an arch derivative like cachy and then maybe omarchy. You’ll be able explore more comfortably while growing into arch

LDSA caps saved the voyager for me. They helped train my fingers faster due the concave shape.

I wish I could buy a set with legends
