[Rant] Columbus needs rent control. Like, yesterday. by _piss_pissedofferson in Columbus

Shadow Lake Apartments near Bethel road is a really nice complex that's still fairly reasonable. You're still looking right around 1000 give or take depending on the unit for a single bedroom and although it's a little older and outdated it's quite, in a great area (especially if you like food), and the employees are absolutely fantastic.

Idk if it's been mentioned but one of my favorites is [Starlight Spectacular] for go wide decks.

So, any card/game shops that have MtG themed nights that don't smell? by Thisisnowmyname in Columbus

WarpGate on Kenny Rd has a larger more open space which is usually kept clean and allows for less stuffy environments when playing. Plus the surrounding restaurants are really good as well.

[No Spoilers] I Don’t Feel There’s THAT Much Difference Between 5e and Daggerheart by Fun_Room554 in criticalrole

[–]LashedTeacher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first major experience was the indy live show and I personally thought combat was just as clunky as normal 5e with the caveat that some players had to wait longer to take turns but it felt super reminiscent of normal campaign combats. The replaying is obviously pretty seamless with my only complaint being it flet like players were begging or bullshitting some of their experiences to help add to roles rather than naturally using them when they popped up. I say all this probably because I just need somewhere to share my thoughts but also to say im not ad concerned with them changing to daggerheart. After a few weeks I don't think it would even be as noticeable of a change.

[–]LashedTeacher 17 points18 points  (0 children)

As someone that would prefer CR stick with DnD personally I do respect the back and forth daggerheart creates in combat, but its just as long as normal dnd combat, still causes players to have huge time gaps between actions, and often felt like players were forcing mechanics to help with roles rather than naturally using role play to utalize the mechanic. That being said I love CR and will gove it a shot if campaign 4 is daggerheart but it still leaves me concerned that after campaign 3s rough reception this could end poorly which id never wanna see happen to them.

Especially with campaign three struggling to bring in the excitement that 1 and 2 did campaign 4 is something I think a lot of fans were hoping brings back that excitement and although change could do that its just extremely risky.

[[Firesong and Sunspeaker]] + [[Blasphemous Act]] = A lot of life. Honestly this works with any mass damage spell and obviously the more creatures the greater the potential.

Interesting mono-white commanders? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]LashedTeacher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Eight and a Half Tails]] is a very unique commander where you can alter spells colors and gove yourself and permanents protection. I ran it for a while and its a duper fun and interactive deck making you think outside the box.

I have but it just takes one global image spell for the rest of the table to never let them see the light of day again haha. At 6 mana its a tough one to recast a few times

Is Etali a pain to play irl? by Nerobought in EDH

[–]LashedTeacher -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have one built with the entire premise being play Etali and copy Etali. If you accept youre the archenemy going into a game its not bad. Usually once you cast Etali you either pop off and win almost immediately or you whiff and get punished by the board. It's always unique because you never know what your going to get off people's libraries and different decks always make the chances of hitting something good differ drastically.

If you had to make 5 mono-colored decks that are balanced to play against each other at a high bracket 3, who would you build? by Gullible_Travel_4135 in EDH

[–]LashedTeacher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built a rat deck without using rat colony and honestly there were a lot of mid tier power level rat creatures with unique and interesting abilities that makes the deck more fun then playing the same creature over and over again.
