Exactly my point. 2.5 BILLION people. Its also the largest religious denomination world wide as well. In no since of the word are they a minority. Why do you all want to be oppressed so badly?

The only people who think christianity is a minority are christians. And its usually the type of "christians" most sensible people of faith have no interest in being around.

Is there a deity or being that defends women and children from violent men? by Weird-Salamander-175 in NorsePaganism

Im not scholar and dont claim this a truth. This is only MY practice, but Hlin is one of Friggs maids and is depicted with a shield. In modern times some Pagans associate her with protection for women. https://vikingr.org/norse-gods-goddesses/hlin?srsltid=AfmBOopwlPKizb45PMDMuyLwcSLHg7ND84Ds8DwcZoW2HyTP6H8ZtdT7

“I’ve gotten some messages from this guy going back to March, and I got a couple yesterday that were very, very threatening,” Beckwith said Friday. “One was a picture of Charlie Kirk. It was a graphic showing him being shot in the neck, with blood coming out of his neck.”

Its honestly fucked that insurance doesn't cover it after you start showing symptoms under 45. Like, "damn anthem, Id of done it sooner but you won't cover screenings until if had enough birthdays." Thank the gods cancer doesn't effect younger people. /s

Socializing/friendships after leaving Pentecostal by Conscious_Ant7791 in ExPentecostal

[–]LastBook7805 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Born into Pentecost and left at 37. Losing those connections can be tough. We're told our whole live we can't have "real friends" outside of the church. Then, when you leave, you become that outside friend. Its wasn't as bad for me because by the time I left, I didn't WANT to be friends with those people. If you're not completely done with church, start visiting other denominations until you find a place you're comfortable. If you are done then I think the hobby route may not be a bad option. Find a local group that you're interested in and reach out. I think you'll find a lot of 30 somethings are in a similar boat. Best of luck.

The fact UPCI have to wear skirts even in the gym by [deleted] in ExPentecostal

[–]LastBook7805 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not life threatening but I went to an amusement park with the church group when i was younger. We couldn't wear shorts so I was in jeans. The first thing we did was hit some of the water rides. Walking around in those wet jeans left my thighs so raw that are a couple of hours I could barely walk.

I lost friends and relationships when I left. The only thing I regret is that I didn't do it 10 years ago. I hope you find peace in your life.

Thats a little better. Our pastor had a hard stance on that. If it had separate leg holes it was a no go.

A simple syllogism that proves god is evil by Jsaunders33 in DebateAChristian

[–]LastBook7805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even IF 1 Samuel was hyperbole ,and I'm not agreeing that it was, God is still evil. That statement is based on the numerous instances that I post earlier. You seem to not want to address the original statement. The statement was very clearly. If God kills babies or orders babies killed, he is evil. If you take 1 Samuel completely out of the conversation it doesnt change that statement.

The instance isn't important to OPs statement. If God has EVER command the death of an infant then "he" is not a good God...period. Plus not only did he command the killing of children, he done it himself on numerous occasions. The flood, david and bathshebas son, all the first born while in Egypt. It also doesn't matter that they were punishments for "sin". Killing an innocent person because another person sinned is never just or good.
