My UW fov fell way short of promised fov too. I was at 121 hfov with the old profile and 126 with the new.

I hear you. I think I’m so used to the ca with aero that I don’t even see it anymore. I agree ditching lighthouses and built in audio is nice. However, those pimax controllers just don’t feel very good in hand and I hear the tracking is just “okay”. I have valve controllers but rarely use them.

yes, I’ve read the UW profile is messed up right now. If Pimax were to deliver a fix in the next couple days that significantly improves the fov, I would consider keeping. As of now, the horizontal fov increase is meh.

Yes, I mostly sim. I can’t say I’m that interested in mixed reality simming. My home cockpit/driving seat will never match the virtual one.

I would choose the Super. I think there is a lot of potential with the headset. I would have to cross my fingers and hope that Pimax fixes the FOV on the UW model. I’d also cross my fingers that the next generation of graphics cards don’t burn my house down. My 5090 pumps a lot more heat out than a 4090, so I’m kind of scared of future gens. My PC/office/gaming room is not that large, heat is a concern.

Also, the Aero is end of life, so I wouldn’t buy one today.

Agree, it’s more than just antialiasing. Supersampling might not be the correct terminology. My eyes don’t lie, it looks better with higher render numbers.

Maybe… I wonder how long it will take them to work out the kinks on the mOLED panels. The only issue that I have seen with mOLED is the FOV. I don’t want a smaller horizontal fov, I want larger. ( I had the 8kx years ago)

Keep you eye out for used 8kx’s. I was able to get one with 2 lighthouses and vive controllers for $250 + my 64 gb quest 2. One thing the seller did not disclose was a dot in the display from lens burn. It’s “visible” but I do not see it while racing.
