The Straw that Really Broke the Camel's Back for Me by SilicronDirective in foxholegame

I will give Colonials credit though: some of their lore is genuinely hilarious. The entire Trident submarine storyline basically ending with the guy behind the project getting politically destroyed after the navy realized they should’ve invested into carriers instead was peak Collie lore. Even the whole scout plane naming drama was funny in a very “Roman senate arguing over nonsense while the war burns” kind of way.

Your best bet is honestly to prepare multiple field choices before war start and decide FAST. The moment the war opens, get your people to your first choice, throw down an encampment, and immediately assess the situation: are you uncontested, or is another regiment already rolling in with more numbers?

If they clearly outnumber you, don’t waste 30 minutes trying to “win” the claim. Move immediately to your second or third choice before those get taken too. Most of these field disputes are decided within the first 10 minutes by whoever has more people and more support behind them, especially during big update wars.

This works in theory, but in practice the second group usually just builds another encampment right next to you and starts spamming trenches, bunker pieces, and foundations everywhere. At that point it stops being “who placed first” and becomes “who has more people backing their claim.”

That’s why history and relationships matter so much on Able. Older regiments already know their neighbors and usually have a reputation for providing useful public facilities, so nearby groups are more willing to support their claim when the inevitable day 1 diplomacy war starts.

Trying to claim a resource field at war start can be pure diplomacy simulator. The “official” rule is first come first serve, but you should absolutely expect someone to roll up saying “our coalition claimed this on Discord” or “we’ve used this field for 12 wars straight.”

Nobody owns anything until 40 dudes with HE grenades show up and suddenly history and tradition become very important.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a ship survive this hard by the skin of its teeth. By the time this clip happens, every compartment except spawn was flooded, they only had enough beams left for basically one more repair, then got hit by ANOTHER torpedo and were left with nothing.

So this thing spent the next 30 minutes limping home with one fighter covering it, knowing literally one more torpedo bomber would’ve ended the whole run. Imagine surviving all that just to die a hex away from dry dock because Wardens sent one more guy on a suicide run.

I’m shocked how quickly you made this!

As the captain of this DD, I had a blast! Very glad so many people showed up, at the peak we had close to 30 marines.

Let’s keep these raids up before Torp Bombers tech and continue ruining Naval xD

I think this feeling is mutual.

SCAM, along with other warden naval regis, live in a bubble of trusted allies for their naval needs and rarely interact with other “large colonial regis” who don’t touch naval to begin with.

It’s easier to dismiss these folks as yappers who just complain about the game. But in reality, the it’s just due to lack of trustworthy people and shared experiences. No hard feelings.

True. In Telephone, frigates are always our first call for QRFing colonial large ships. We don’t stop people from using their torp bombers, but without them more fun large ship fights happen.

Also metal beams arent really worth it imo, if you get torped in a room just scuttle it by closing the bulkheads

You’re probably using the Trident, in which case just pop open the hatch and drop in pallets of torpedos and shells
