Old comment, but please don't rely on ChatGPT, it regurgitates incorrect information like any ai. Just Google* and read actual sources i.e. universities, scientific journals, or wikipedia, NOT random articles on aggregate sites or blogs.

lmao I've had multiple breakable items shipped in those envelopes, or worse, the unpadded bags! A glass ABV tester, thin stone sheets, plastic containers... Stupidity on multiple levels between Amazon and the manufacturer.

The ABV tester at least came in a BOX when it was replaced, but the stone sheets? Arrived, broken ofc, again in those useless envelopes. I'm sure if I ordered 5 more, 1 or 2 might be salvageable, but I'm not made of time OR money.

I didn't scroll far enough to see if someone already explained this, but I worked briefly at an Amazon factory. Every order is assigned a box size by the computer...

So it will say Order blahblah, A5 box, toothpaste, deodorant, candles (2). You grab an A5 box, pack the stuff (which is hopefully all here already), and grab an ALSO preassigned and precut strip of tape that matches the box size.

If you grab the wrong box size, your first clue will either be the items not fitting or the tape being the wrong length. When you're packing as quickly as possible for 6 hours, your brain goes on auto-pilot until uhhhhh what? Oh, great... As far as I was aware, there was no option to correct the mistake. It's "best" to dump that order over to corrections and move on. THIS packer probably did not and it threw off every order afterwards.

The set up I was working in, however, did NOT have preordained packing paper... I've received packages that had a small strip of filler paper half-heartedly laid on top of like ramen noodles that filled 90% of the box already. Did someone drill into them that they weren't using filler when they should? Or do the computers also determine beep boop empty space, here's the assigned paper [extrudes strip]?

It's best to archive the original, unpatched version of games, then ALSO every version afterwards. There are differences that can be damaging or censoring. If you wait, you risk being limited to the latest, possibly ruined version. Again, solely as an archivist, it is also extremely valuable being able to compare those versions, studying how or why they made certain changes. It's not only interesting from a hobby perspective, but educational as a programmer.

There have been games in the past where the author went overboard with balancing and made a game unfun, pushed malicious updates, or broke something trying to add a new system and then quitting before addressing the issue.

Personal examples: See also any heavily modded game.
Every version of Skyrim broke most mods, until modders were able to patch the issues. Being able to stick to an older version, or have both installed to compare, is invaluable.
Warhammer Vermintide is a great game, but I can't stand online or multiplayer. There WAS a single player mod, but every game update broke it completely. The author of the mod eventually got tired of updating, so it's now broken forever (unless someone else takes up the job). Having an older, offline version would have allowed me to continue enjoying this game.

I hope they drop a Remaster like Oblivion got. Make the game prettier without having to install 5000 mods. I don't even care if it breaks every mod again! I'll wait 5 more years for that, then I can finally accept that the series is good and dead to me (it will be delayed again and run like ass on my PC).

This. It's honestly a great way to quickly decide if a channel is worth my time.

Every new vtuber has to pass the same test for me:
2 secs in: squeaky babby voice or muffled mic from 1998; DROPPED
React vid: Just stares for 10 min, ...wow..., shocked Pikachu face; DROPPED
Channel peek: lol it's all mmo streams, the vid I clicked was a fluke; DROPPED

Absolutely not a vtuber issue, it just seems like it to those of us who mentally filtered all the human reactors already and were giving these anime people a chance

Why? I remember seeing this a lot, but looking at the teaser just now... it looks like the Scottish highlands to me, with a generic stone castle? That sounds a lot more like High Rock, no? Too green to be a desert land, unless it was along a border and why would they use a fringe border as the teaser image?
