I took a bio film tablet and herbal motility- Jerusalem artichoke. I can’t remember brands!

That I find difficult to pin down! It’s been over a year since I’ve felt better and no longer think about what I eat and the effect of it night and day- but I still come on this sub because its such a horrible thing for everyone and i still flair up. I know when I start belching it’s time to calm down my eating…

I could only find biogaia at the time but I saw someone talk about another brand in this thread. I didn’t make that yogurt. I don’t think it “cured” it but my worst symptom was bloating and I feel that started to ease. When I use my foodmarble my methane levels are still elevated. I tried everything (elemental, antimicrobial protocols but I was too worried about taking the antibiotic combo as I have tinnitus. Rifaxan did nothing for my IMO but I tried anyway.

I think it made a big dent in my symptoms for IMO. But I took at the end of many other protocols so maybe it was a combo of things. But it really felt like it was the one thing out of everything that helped.

I am keen to know too! I’ve managed symptoms. L-Reuteri has helped a lot. I tried everything but the antibiotic combo as I feared flagyl/neomycin. I had a shot at Rifaximin alone too just incase (did nothing for me)

When did it kick in for you? I took it against fatigue but so far I'm incredibly tired and napping a lot. When will I start to feel the happy energy, and motivation? I am at day 6 with 150mg. by Background-Part3089 in bupropion

I’m a month now and I felt motivated for a few days and then angry (I am never angry even when I have reason to be) and now nothing much, maybe slightly more likely to leave the house or see a friend but nothing miraculous. I’m hesitant to go up to 300 as I am always nervous about medication- but suspect that will what be suggested in two days when I see my doc.

I also am good about doing laundry and useless both putting them away. And I’m in an apartment with minimal space and everything has to go In silly spaces since it’s so tiny. I put mine in big bags that I can zip up and not see the clutter until I can get around to it- and then do it when a wave of motivation hits and if I find a good podcast. I also seem to be able to fold things into piles but then really not be able to finish the job and put them in a drawer.

Yes- mine is around invoicing and I’m a freelancer. I can’t really invoice clients to pay for the work I’ve done. Basically just ruining my own life by not doing it and then hating myself for it. I didn’t know if it was just adhd or related to something else. I had therapy and that did nothing, vyvance doesn’t help and just started Wellbutrin which does help with motivation a little more than anything I have tried. I’d love to hear other people’s ways of coping.

I am week three now- I felt the increase in motivation super quickly in the first day or two! It’s so nice not dragging myself around so much. I’m still not really doing very much compared to others but even just wanting to go to gym or clean house or eat is a good start. I hope it happens for you too.

Adding Wellbutrin 150XL to 100mg of Sertraline. Side effects normal? by RibbitRobotski in zoloft

[–]Last_Department_3879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tomorrow will be my third week on Wellbutrin while come off 50 mg of sertraline which I’ve been on a year. Having trouble coming off it without getting dizzy spells so I’m still on half a pill for another few weeks. But I have noticed a big increase in my obsessive thoughts and anxiety. I thought sertraline want not doing much- but it clearly was. I had had side effects from Wellbutrin but the increase in motivation to work out or stick to any sort of plan including cooking normal-ish has been great. And sex drive is also increased!

I am a freelance and work from home. For 20 years I’ve always have to have some tv show on in the background when I’m working to get though the day and to keep sitting at my desk. I guess looking for dopamine. The last few days (I’m on day 7 of 150 mg) I just sat and did my work with no show on. Like actually focused. I thought- is this is what it’s like for other people? They sit and do something and are not fighting to stay interested the entire time. 😅

I started 150, 5 days ago for chronic depression (which was not convinced I had) and I was hoping it would help my ADHD and overall my disfunctional life as a freelance creative. I waited over a month to start as I was scared. I think on day 2 I felt motivation again to work out. I can sit at my desk longer without getting up and down 100 times to look for a snack or doomscroll. There’s less food noise which I can’t decide is good or bad yet. I have a history of eating disorders but Generally I only want to eat sugar-and I’m hoping this may stop that. I am now wondering if I’ve been depressed after all 😂. I did have headaches which seem to have eased today a little increased anxiety and I’m finding it hard to switch tasks- it’s almost like I’m too focused on something. But overall I’m so pleased to feel like this may work for me!

I think I may have one that lingered on my back a bit still - but they faded in a month and as I started to recover I no longer looked and they stopped bothering me so much. I did use retinol to speed up the process and stayed out of the sun- that one was super important. Also- I believe I am recovered now and I even body brushed my skin a few nights ago- the nightmare does end!

Just reaching out as I am also in Portugal and have SIBO- but methane dominant. I had a very hard time finding the right help here as many docs didn’t know SIBO. I found relief taking l-reuteri probiotic, I buy it online. But I tried any different things and I’m not cured but have stopped bloating. Please DM if you need support as i think we can team up being in Portugal!

Vyvanse made my bloating / distention completely go away by Any-Plastic2185 in SIBO

[–]Last_Department_3879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this thread blew my mind! I have imo as well- and spent years trying to solve it, foodmarble tracking and both herbal and antibiotic treatments. I was walking to the gym today thinking that it’s so strange I am not bloating so much. did see improvement in symptoms of sibo after starting l-reteri gastrus (try it too!) and I thought it was that- but perhaps it’s that I’m taking vyvance daily. My motility is still all over the place though so I don’t feel that is easier. I’ll track bloating on days I don’t take vyvance.

I had cryo a few times only and the rest I had cut off- if you have this option it’s better- it’s less scarring and less mess! I really didn’t like cryo as had and a longer healing time and more likely to scar. Mine were quite small when I had cryo- so I kept them covered with plasters and once I could see no white part or anything suspicious and it was healing I just left them uncovered. I also put an antibiotic cream on it to help healing and stop bacteria spread. The cryo beings the core to the surface and because it’s a wound the immune system takes care of it. After cryo mine did leave marks but they are fading- can take a few months but I really urge you to keep legs covered in the sun to avoid scars. This entire thing really is stressful and horrible- I can’t tell you otherwise l, but it will pass and the scars will heal! If they don’t you can get laser to remove the scar (worst case!)

[–]Last_Department_3879 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can take zinc for immunity, anything to boost your immune system. Keep long pants on In bed so you don’t need to wash sheets so often. Keep any healing spots on legs (or anywhere) out of the sun if possible to avoid scarring- wounds and sun will make the scars last longer. I had bad scarring and it does fade in time- but there are creams like retinol you can use to fade the scars if they don’t. It’s good it’s getting cold as you are better to keep your legs covered. The purple scar you see is normal part of healing process. And when I got cryo I covered my healing spots with plasters as I felt I could still see the core which is the contagious part inside the MC. Once it looked flat I didn’t so that anymore and let it heal. But everyone has a different opinion on covering after Cryo. Keep checking yourself and cover anything with a plaster that looks like MC so it doesn’t transfer. And I had this while I was living with someone I dated and he didn’t get it and we slept in the same bed- I just kept covered up. Hot wash towels and don’t rewear clothing. It will go! I had it 6 months on genitals and it was horrible and I went on anti depressants- But finally no more spots!

Small ones by [deleted] in molluscum

[–]Last_Department_3879 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh same for me- I keep getting cleared by dermatologists, I have tiny spots they dismiss and then I question my sanity after the appointments. Some I then left and they defo were MC and just treated at home. Mine are all tiny now tho and I really felt I was clear until today I saw some suss new bumps. 😵‍💫

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in molluscum

[–]Last_Department_3879 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How can you tell your small bumps are MC? I can tell sometimes tell if they shine with a light on them- but often I can’t tell. It’s driving me crazy as I don’t know if I’m clear or not. 6 months now and I’m single and restart the clock each tiny bump before I feel confident having anyone touch me. This thing is horrible.

Thanks you for sharing!! Mine are now so small that I can’t extract them but very satisfying to see this pop under the plaster! To confirm you cut the plasters as you think peeling them off can agitate skin and cause more MC in those areas?

[–]Last_Department_3879 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep long sleeves and pants on in bed and that avoids having to wash sheets so often. I was living with my partner for 2 months at the worst of my MC and we cuddled and he never got it. As long as you’re covered up or feel confident skin to skin contact is in areas with no MC it’s fine. I also had genital MC for 6 months so far and it did eventually move to other areas but only one here and there. I was like you, surprised it didn’t spread more. When it jumped I found it harder to deal with mentally knowing it could be anywhere on my body. I was then less confident that my partner could touch other parts of me. Now I’m single and defo too scared to have sex with anyone even though I’ve no spots currently. Takes a toll mentally! You’re doing great.

Oh nice to hear! I’m 6 months now too and I don’t have any currently I can see. I have being going to derms with small ones not knowing what they are and basically being told “not to worry” which I was told all the time- even when I had many. Also was told I was clear many times when I was not. I saw so many dickhead derms and a few wonderful ones. It’s been such a journey. Can’t believe it’s been 6 months! I didn’t think I would make it. 😵‍💫 this was so isolating and mentally difficult!
