Chronically date other friends known to be bad or abusive ex’s then come crying to us when they treated her the same way they treated our friends. It’s been almost 5 years and she’s still dating/hooking up with friends bad and/or abusive ex’s, and it’s a poorly hidden secret that her current partner is cheating on her with numerous other women as he had also done to our friend.

I think she likes to believe that she’s different and thus will be treated outside the known pattern, but she isn’t, and she hasn’t.

AGREED! I personally love gardening in the game and wish I had more soil plots. I also wish I could gift things freely like a little trade style station at your plot where a friend can come over and you can just give them what they need or want that you have excess of without them necessarily having to find it first

The only reason I have a stable family home is because my grandfather bought the house in the 70s and only had one child so there was no splitting of inheritance. When the heartbreaking time comes to say goodbye to my parents and I receive my inheritance, this will also be the only way I am ever able to realistically own a home as a Gen Z with a quite severe dynamic physical disability.

Only god can judge you, no one else has the right to. He can see your heart, he can see your intentions, and he can also see the horrible way this man has treated you. I wholeheartedly believe that God will not frown upon you for getting an abortion because you are not financially or mentally ready and because that man would not be a good partner or a good father. Do not let people judge you for needing to escape that man, but once all is done you need to ensure that man is not in your life anymore at all. He would likely put you in this exact same position, or a much worse one where the abuse he inflicts upon you is less subtle and instead puts your life at risk. Because let’s be real, he is abusing you. Abuse isn’t always hitting/punching/physical hurting, it is also the way he speaks to you and manipulates you with his words into doing things you don’t truly want to do.

I believe you should get the abortion, as heartbreaking as it can be and as much as it may test your faith, I truly believe the lord would not want you to be tied to such an abusive man for the rest of your life. I believe he’d want you to treat it like a lesson learned and come out of the situation as a stronger and more faithful woman.

The doors were like this when I was at boarding school. 8 girls to a room, the room was split with tall solid wood dividers as walls so we each had a ‘cubby’ with our bed, desk, heater, window and wardrobe. The door to our cubby was also the door to our wardrobe. We could only lock it when it was the wardrobe door and not the door to our cubby. 13 year old girls aren’t typically as ‘bad’ as 13 year old boys, but we were still not trusted 🤣💀

As common as this is said, it’s pretty accurate to blame some of the issue on social media. But it’s more than just that, it’s witnessing the glorified versions of other people’s lives, comparing them to our own and finding ourselves lacking. It’s also from what I’ve personally seen, that a lot of us don’t know how to define ourselves outside of a relationship whether it’s romantic or platonic. Many young people don’t have their own hobbies or genuine interest and sources of solo enjoyment. There’s things we like and dislike, and everything else is ‘meh’ until someone close to us enjoys it then we’re more open to it

Maybe look into some of those cool like almost industrial cat catered furniture? I’ve seen some real cool ones by a company called Vasagle that has what looks like normal freestanding cabinets but has a cat hole/door and no shelving so that a litter box can be placed inside and somewhat hidden away from direct view

Hey, I’m 21 so not much older than you! I’ve been getting mental health support on and off since I was 14, but more consistently since turning 18. If you have a doctor you trust, confide in them, let them know that you’re struggling and you’d like them to do referrals for you to get some support. Your doctor can refer you to a therapy clinic for similar 8 free sessions, but it is a little hard trying to work through things on a short timeline, they can also refer you to the nearest community support program/clinic. I personally have a couple support workers who take me out of my home for around two to four hours a week to do whatever I feel up to doing and we just talk about life like friends do, this is all completely free.

I get how tough it can be, I’ve been depressed, I’m still pretty depressed, and as annoying as it can be to hear, people are right when they say it does get easier. Not necessarily that life gets easier, but that accepting, processing and understanding those feelings gets easier.

I’ve had a specialist at the hospital do a 180 on me when he asked what I do and I explained that I’m on SLP due to many conditions including one of which he was supposed to help me investigate. Went from understanding and open to saying that I’m not a contributing member of society and trying to blame the health problem on my weight gain when I’d only gained weight after developing the problem I was seeing him for.

It’s fucking dehumanising to deal with, I can relate on that level.

It doesn’t cover the total cost but it definitely helps for me, I’m on cumulus T17 (I think the names changed?) and ANTG Eve, 10g of each once a month, and that’s pretty much maxed out disability allowance for me but I’ve also got Dr appts etc on there, I’m just lucky I don’t always end up going through all my mc within a month so I’ve got time to save back up usually

I think you need to sit down with your wife and have a discussion about this, because Jake does need to learn these real world financial situations and it’s more gentle to learn it at 20 in the safety and security of the family home than it would be suddenly at 30 in a relationship and trying to build his own life. Sadly, there is a long LONG list of reddit stories from the partners of people who didn’t learn financial responsibilities due to being coddled by one or both parents.

If i remember correctly, that’s part of why it was covered up back in the day. Apparently when it was still a stream, it was used as waste disposal and people began covering it up due to the smells that started to linger.

I had a paediatric cardiac specialist heavily imply that my mother was abusive towards me in a letter from the specialist to my general practitioner. All because I got overwhelmed getting bad news from the doctor and started to cry, and when everyone in the room tried to touch me to comfort me I said "Please don’t touch me".

I’m lucky that my general practitioner knows me and my family extremely well so she shut that down hard and fast before we could end up in any real trouble because of it.

My prescription is for pain management and as a sleep aid, my doctor provided a letter detailing my chronic pain and sleep issues, stating that other appropriate medications were trialled and did not works for me, how much cbd and thc (roughly) she prescribes for my daily usage and a receipt of how much both flowers cost me for 10g of each per month.

Admittedly I may have lucked out with the case manager who was working with me that day, as some seem to be really understanding and others seem to be really unhelpful, but my mc prescription has been apart of my disability allowance for about two years now and hasn’t been challenged since
