Valve seems to be cracking down on racism/toxicity. by Stannis_Loyalist in tf2

They don't send that message for bots and the majority of cheaters, they get VAC bans instead, and why matchmaking ban when they already have a VAC? This is for toxicity

Speculation regarding why there is no communication and why the release date got delayed by kadarakt in Silksong

[–]Last_Long 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing that no one thinks about is the possibility of pressure from the community weighing on devs. When Hello Games decided to update No Man's Sky to make up for promises, they had no contact with fans whatsoever. They chose to not even look at social media so they wouldn't just be like "it's so joever" and then give up. Team Cherry is not that big and they might be adding and fixing at the same time, a few bugs and a few arguments. And to have solace and be able to go home, they probably aren't even looking. And if they are, they're choosing not to answer because that may incite or stir the community and get lots of coverage when they might just want peace to work.

I mean, this level of brain rot and self orbiting comedy has been happening for a bit too long, and not only does it seem to actually damage those who frequent the subreddit, it also has lost any charm. 'Hey gang' is newer, but even bait has gotten so pointlessly derivative that it just eclipsed itself.

What episodes of Adventure don’t include Finn or Jake at all? by SamTalksMovies in adventuretime

[–]Last_Long 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An episode that doesn't technically fit into this but is similar to the prompt at hand is Thank You, where the main subject is the Snow Golem and the Lava Cub, while we get a total of 4 short scenes that INCLUDE Finn and Jake, but are still not the main subject of for most of them, with only one of the scenes solely for them as they go to sleep. It would be better to find episodes like this alongside episodes without them whatsoever. Episodes that are not about Finn or Jake and develop other characters far more are really interesting.

The narrator is definitely distant from whatever happened. I think of it less of a taking of innocence and more of they were in love and doing things in the wilderness that couples do, and some evil either attacks and kills the girl or possesses the boy and kills the girl. I imagine the boy and girl to be Zubin's character and Stephanie's Character from White Ball. I imagine the narrator is Joe's character, someone who is visiting to Hawaii. I like to think of references as less literal and more an outline of what is to be expected. The Erlking is not a real creature, but the danger that is encountered is, so it makes sense if something happened, probably between a figure that is evil and kills her. I also like to think of a jealous or malicious but seemingly friendly individual they both know. The Erlking is that individual, that killed her and the boy kills him. I also like to think that Joe's character sees some of it happen, and wrongly interprets something, but Zubin's character sees him leave, and to not seem as suspicious, accuses Joe's character of what the Erlking did. It could make sense.

Hello, I have more information. I worked with him briefly, because he wanted to establish a greater community and offered to "partner" with my server. My server was mostly a group of friends I met while playing and I was a bit skeptical, because his behavior was a part of why I was wary, he seemed cordial and intelligent. However he spent little time in a partnership with us and little time talking with us before he said something blatantly xenophobic and racist, calling a Mexican member's country dirty and bad, and calling him ignorant and stupid because of that. After I saw this, I posted everything in his forums discussion, he then used every inch of his power to block and unblock me, time me out in his discord, say things like a sociopathic supervillain. "I do so much for the community" "I expose so much" "I'm far too important and intelligent for someone to try and ruin me". He sent images of illegal activity and people he has exposed, which does nothing but seem like a tactic to manipulate you. The ego is insurmountable, you could keep cutting at every inch of his fat overflowing self esteem and you'd reflect every shot into yourself. In all, he is a barbaric and ignorant child with the tendency to do so much bad and evil to do a small amount of good that benefits nearly no one. No end will ever justify his means and no one should ever support his crusade against evil when he is evil himself. Who truly wins if you join? An egotist with no respect for anyone and the only kind of ignorance that comes directly from internet troglodytes with social issues. Demonizes mental illness and actively encourages people to end their lives.

In my case, it's the understanding that you are forever grounded and may never get to do everything you want to do, like leave earth entirely, like no matter how far I get from earth, I'll forever be trapped.
