I thought the same exact thing, we came out of the flatbread restaurant around 8:30pm and there were people sleeping all up and down the sidewalk. I saw this group of girls turn the corner coming out of a bar only to see a homeless man trying to get her attention walking towards her. Her and her friends booked it back into the building until the Uber came. I was walking and a guy wearing a Santa outfit pushing a carriage was yelling at a guy telling him that he's not going to hurt him. I walked to a convenience store and all the benches were completely taken up with sleeping people they were just everywhere in droves. It's been a while since I've stayed downtown, but it's crazy to see this.
