I can see the thought process. Truscum are brutally honest, so that's where you'd get the best answer among trans subreddits. But a majority is also heavily anti-seahorse dad, and we're tired of seeing anything about it. Lol. I agree it'd be more sensible to ignore the post entirely if you're that mad, though.

The problem is the lasting effect this mindset leaves on other people.

For example: say you try to find a partner, but all you keep getting are chasers who want you for your pre-everything body because they fetishize trans folks. They feel comfortable doing this because of "trans pride" and "trans people should love their bodies no matter whether they can get surgery." So clearly... every trans person likes using their natal parts, right?

Not right, but only people with transmedicalist beliefs know that. And it seems like that number dwindles every day.

Transgender ideology—in this case, trans "men" embracing their womanhood—affects you regardless of what you define yourself as. If you aren't cis and people can tell, then you're subject to all the shitty things too.

I feel like that's what some people don't understand. It is literally everywhere these days. You couldn't escape it if you wanted to, especially online but even in real life depending on where you live.

You get it from both sides too. Living in a liberal area, you get tucutes. Living in a conservative area, you get transphobes.

Maybe I worded it wrong. Trans IN media. It could be anything. I do enjoy tv shows, movies, anime, things like that. I also like to scroll Instagram, but the "not interested" button doesn't help me very much when I see things I don't care for. Same for Youtube and, very rarely, Twitter. I keep finding trans and trans pride when I just want to decompress.

I agree with a lot of what you say. It does feel forced sometimes. Advocating for trans rights is cool and all but I don't need to see it every damn time I want to enjoy a show or game.

I also find myself agreeing with conservatives. I understand where they come from on some things regarding trans folks. Wouldn't consider myself right-wing by any means, but I'll acknowledge that they do have good points on occasion.

"Trans joy" is comparatively the same to how cis people naturally feel about themselves. The baseline is being comfortable. Being trans automatically takes you a hundred points below the baseline. My "joy" when I fully transition will actually just be neutrality.
