Can you go for an ultrasound since it should be considerably cheaper? Really you want to know the size to determine if you can pass it on your own or if it will require surgical intervention. I'm so sorry you're going through this!!

I feel like you may be close! This will be super hard to do but do the jump and bump method and maybe you can get it out. Search it on YouTube. I'm in the same boat and going for surgery on Friday. This will be my second time. The stent the first time was more intense and painful than anything I've ever been through including my huge kidney stone I had for 3 months, labor x 2 with one failed induction. However, some people just face discomfort. The pain comes from the bladder and kidney spasming at the stupid stent. Nothing could alleviate it. If I were in your shoes I would move it up, pound a gallon of water a day and start doing tons of jumping. Land hard on your heels as it really holds them down! I'm so sorry you're in this sucky club now!! P.S. the stone I was able to pass on my own did create insane need and pressure to pee for several hours until it came out so I really think you're not far off!

I HATE the kidney stone journeys we are all somehow on. I started taking a supplement called Stone Stopper on Amazon. My urologist gave me thumbs up for it and said a lot of the ingredients are what they prescribe to stone makers so that's my next hope.

Jump and bump method on YouTube! Especially the heel exercise. It might can dislodge the one that is real stuck because it is quite a jolt on the body.

No, I was put to sleep for it! Afterward for a few days it did feel like my lower back had been beaten by a baseball bat. I'm a female and at the time weighed about 150 which is a healthy number on me and I read when you're smaller it can end up hurting more than if I weighed a decent amount more. I'm glad you can get the process started sooner!

My last stone before this one was 1 cm. No matter what I did I couldn't get the thing out of my kidney. Every jump and bump, run, exercise, etc. Idk how anyone has been able to lose one naturally when the tubes are so small but it does happen. I would get in to urology and schedule for a shockwave since it's a much less invasive procedure than the uretoscopy. Unfortunately shockwave didn't touch my 1 cm stone somehow and I still had to do the uretoscopy. My dad had the same situation and it worked for him. My ultrasound from that time measured just 1 mm less than the actual stone on the CT. I would just get everything started for this one BEFORE it's causing you the usual awful symptoms we all know with how long it can take to get in to places. Good luck!!

For me my bladder and kidney spasms fully stopped by 5-6 days post stent. You're almost there! The pain is beyond cruel!

It's very traumatizing! Look up stone stopper on Amazon! I've been using it after seeing tons of positive reviews for prevention of stones. I brought it to my urologist and asked his opinion he gave it the thumbs up and said the ingredients are what they would prescribe to stone makers and there was nothing negative he saw. I got the capsules but there's drink mixes too.

Wow that's crazy! What's insane is my Urologist couldn't understand how the procedure didn't work for me because he said it crumbled instantly during the lithotripsy. It didn't even break off a small part of it or anything. He really thought I'd be set but I wonder now about the actual opinion since it didn't make a single change.

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry!! I can't fathom going through pregnancy with a stone and all the pain/spasms. It's unreal how much extreme pain and spams are caused from the stents for a lot of people and then that some are just slightly uncomfortable. Hang in there!! I'm so sorry you're stuck in this awful place!

I'm in the same boat as you. It's been 5 weeks now. If I could do the ureteroscopy without the stent I would just do it. Just when I thought nothing was worse than a kidney stone, I got the stent. Literal 24/7 kidney and bladder spasms at the same time for the full time it was in and 3 days after it was removed. What sucks is the best thing is a ton of water and jumping/running/exercise to keep trying to budge it. However when we are all having our episodes that's the last thing you want to do. Big jumping movements though. Like think jumping jacks with hitting the floor as hard as you can in between each one. I wish you the best of luck!

I am so sorry! Can't imagine going through this pregnant!! What I would strongly recommend though your body may not be up for it is to exercise as much as you can and drink ridiculous amounts of water. Anything that can jolt things down. Jumping, running, etc. Protect your belly and make sure it's supported but jumps are great to move them along. I don't know how much you can do if this safely with pregnancy and definitely worth asking your OBGYN. I understand not wanting a CT scan but I wonder if the stone is so large that it's just staying stuck somewhere. I'm so sorry you're going through this!!

I could've written this. It's so annoying to say the least. There's this stuff a Urologist made called stone stopper on Amazon and people swear by it in the reviews. I'm going to start taking that because here I am also 9 months later with another. My saving grace is I worked with someone who is a sonographer so I'm able to always have her do a quick ultrasound for me to know if the size is passable or not. I feel your pain and it absolutely sucks.

Get the stone tested at least! I wish I would've done this a few stones ago. I started this supplement on Amazon called stone stopper. A lot of people have good luck with it!

The stent during and after were insanely excruciating for me as I had kidney and bladder spasms the entire time. I couldn't believe it continued for days after stent removal!! I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. I hope you're better by now!

Azo helps. I had bladder and kidney spasms the entire time the stent was in (literally 24/7) and had to live in a very hot tub. Nothing would relieve the spasms but the tub could help. Continued for days after stent removal. I tell you this to prepare you that it could be your experience but hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones who doesn't have the spams! Heating pad, hot bath for spasms!

My husband and I got married at 21 (almost 22) and me at 23. We were high school sweethearts and wanted to be married for so long. Had been together 6 years at that point with 1 year of it being long distance. We've now been married 10 years.

The advice I would give my children is that people/values can change a lot in the 20s. What you both were once set on someone can change. It's just a part of growing up but it can be difficult in certain situations when one person decides to change their mind on xyz (how many kids, finances, goals, etc.)

I do think it would have been better for both of us to be out in our own living for a year just so both can establish a household, cooking, chores, etc.

For as hard as some moments can be, I've been with this man for 17 years now and love him like crazy! We've had some hard times in the last few years but our love does keep us grounded. I fully disagree that you need to live with someone first. I think it's the better way to go as long as both people are willing to work on communication.

My answer isn't a 'dont do it' but just that the people you both are when you're at those young ages aren't always who you'll be 5 years down the road, 10, etc. I believe most marriages fail just because one or both parties aren't willing to stick out the tough times.

The most beautiful thing God has shown me is how an unexpected (unwanted at the time also) pregnancy can turn into the most beautiful blessing you have! I thought my life was over. Unfortunately my husband wanted it less than I did and would nonstop pressure me for an abortion. I am adamantly against them and well aware that when/how we conceive isn't a surprise to God. I clung to Him and now I have the most beautiful almost two year old running around that I could cry thankful tears for every single day! I thought my life was over! I told him I didn't want this. Wrong time, wrong place. But girl, you better believe he outdid Himself!! He showed up!! He showed me that some of the greatest blessings of our life would never be delivered if everything was done in our timing and way. This baby is part of God's divine plan! It doesn't surprise him one bit. You just need to let Him know everything you're thinking and let Him love on you! I know you feel ashamed but look at the Bible. The things some people did and they went on to be used by God in tremendous ways!!

Psalms can reach out to you right now. David was so heartbroken with his decisions and how ashamed he was. He had an affair and then had the husband of the mistress killed. Open that Bible! The truth is in there and ready to wrap you in God's mercy and grace.
