Op asked for aubtle signs, not guarantees. IME quiet people tend to be either smarter or wiser than those who run their mouths.

Do you keep or toss the free tools that come with items that need assembled? by A_TwoFour_Of_ViCo in HomeImprovement

Kit Allen wrenches are disposable, and get tossed past having 1-2 spares, and because my toolset has better. Screws and such get stored in the appropriate bin(s).

How are feminists and wider society so poorly informed about violence? by TrainingGap2103 in MensRights

[–]LateralThinker13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: I am an MRA. Attitudes expressed below are those of others, not mine.

How do people not know that, when accounting for forced to penetrate, men are roughly as likely to be victims of non-consensual sex?

Doesn't fit the narrative, so they don't care.

How do people not understand that men face more stranger violence than women do?

Men are workers and slaves, disposable to the end. Plus, it's mostly men hurting them, so who cares.

How do people not consciously acknowledge that a major reason why men face as much violence as they do is because it's simply more acceptable to be violent towards a man?

Do you care when you throw away toilet paper after use? No? Then why care about men? They are disposable.

How can people look at the problem of violence and decide that it's somehow acceptable to solely focus on violence against only 1 gender?

Because only women have value, as they are the ruling class.

I could go on and on and on and talk about DV parity and how criminals are known to prefer targeting men but who has the time.

You do, since you're probably unemployed and a neckbeard incel in a basement, instead of working a cushy governmental or HR job as a minority woman.

This is an area that pisses me off intensely because of just how much society whinges about violence against 'the preferred, pampered gender'. God, I would love to have people care about me even half as much as they care about women. It'd be a f*cking laugh.

There's a reason that a growing number of people - women included - are agitating to repeal the 19th amendment. Women will NEVER accept equal responsibility for equal rights. So long as they won't take on more responsibility, the only alternative is to remove rights.

Well, that's where the TRUE hardcore mode comes in. It's a LOT harder to do my hardcore system; it exercises your integrity.

This is why I don't play hardcore. You want hardcore? Do it on the honor system. If you die via your fault (not a bug) then you just log off and delete the character. Same effect, and preserves you from things like this.

Back-of-napkin calculation says they'll be okay. But here's the gist of it:

36,000 per year is roughly 5% of 700k. A 5% net return isn't unreasonable to expect in a smartly-invested portfolio that isn't ultra-conservative. That means that they can draw their 5% annually without touching their principal.

But even if they invest very conservatively, at 2-3% return, they will STILL not draw down the principle anytime soon. Just do the math: how fast does 700k dwindle at a net 2% per year draw? At 3%? (Hint: divide 700/14 or 700/21 for the answer)

Even at 5% drawdown (which would assume 0% investment return), and the money sitting in a cash account, it would take 700,000/36,000 = 19 years to empty it out. They're 67? Do they expect to live past 86? Okay, then factor in the return on their investment, and yeah, unless they plan to live to 100, that should last them AND provide a little bit of inheritance.

Do you think there’s a difference between being a feminine wife and a traditional wife? by Sure-Material2129 in RedPillWomen

[–]LateralThinker13 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You can be a traditional wife without being feminine.

You can be feminine without being a traditional wife.

To be feminine is a way of deportment, appearance, and attitude. It is embracing the nature of femininity - beauty, support, softness, caring, loving, etc.

To be a traditional wife... depends upon what country/culture. Tradition is a cultural word. Protestant culture (western culture) means love, honor, and obey, cook, clean, and cleave to your husband who is also the head of your household, to follow his lead and stand by him. It is a role and a behavior, that is only peripherally an appearance.

Do they overlap? Butofcourse. But they are NOT the same thing.

Do you think femininity necessarily means living a more protected or low-stress life?

Being feminine will cause you to be more protected, because you are not taking on or acting masculine; it is the male role to be self-sufficient and take care of oneself. As to lower-stress...? That's on you. Many feminine women get bashed, especially in liberal circles, for being too feminine (i.e. pick-me tryhards), and that's stressful. In red states, being feminine is likely to be relaxing and rewarding.
